Second PCI was straight forward and over in 15 minutes. Handover was pretty quick too. We scored a bottle of Moet champagne and a Moet champagne bucket as a gift from the builder - will certainly be popping the cork in celebration as soon as we get a chance. Pic fest! Our Smeg oven is so pretty... (Pic fest) 128Jun 18, 2010 9:37 pm YAY!!!!! looks awesome we are doing a similar thing in our bathrooms, dark floor tile with dark grout - in our last house we had brown floor tile with lighter grout so i was a lil nervous in going with the dark grout this time. And in our main bathroom we are also having the floor tile around the bath, the girl at european ceramics talked us into this. Kitchen is awesome, colours are great and love the oven... hmmm.. wondering if i should have gone with a freestaning one instead.... love the new bar stools!!! bet there will be much more new furniture to go with the new house!!! thats where all the fun begins - making a house a home!!!! (Pic fest) 129Jun 18, 2010 9:48 pm Hi Locus Fantastic looking house you have there. Love the bar stools - can we ask where you purchased them from? Good choice in flooring. We had Bamboozle lay a bamwood floor (Honey) in 2007. It looks as good as the day they laid it - though we are a little particular with it ie no stilettos etc . But very easy to look after and comes up a treat with a little metho and water and the Enjo mop. I couldn't recommend one of these mops more - that is if you don't already own one. And no I'm not an Enjo consultant - ha ha. We would have gone with Bamboozle again, however DAH had a promotion for Blackbutt flooring and after visiting DAH display homes, we fell in love with it. Enjoy the weekend - no doubt your list of things to do is growing by the minute. The stools are from Furniture Bazaar - $89 each. OH went shopping during the week, we had seen these stools previously at Pod in Osborne Park but they are $179 each there! Good to hear of your positive experience with Bamboozle. I love the look of their flooring. New beginnings. Re: Locus' build - The Floreat (SPH) - It's ours! The alfresco stacker turned out really nice... it opens up the whole games room. Will be even better when it leads out to timber decking! We not only upgraded to a stacker door but also made it wider - almost the whole width of the room. My thoughts exactly regarding the front door handle. Installing a dummy handle is easy enough and undoutedly cheaper than it would be to have the builder do it. We had a tiring weekend, spending most of Saturday giving the place a thorough clean (the "builder's clean" aint crash hot), and by the end of Sunday we had all of the walls sealed apart from the open plan living area and ensuite. Once you have some music cranking and you get into a rhythm, painting really isn't so bad. I'm looking forward to getting the walls in the theatre done. I'm thinking of Solver London Fog as the colour. We should have carpets down in two or three weeks - will post more photos as things happen! New beginnings.
