Or was that friday's job after a liquid lunch........ Re: Noggins falling down, falling down..... 6Sep 23, 2007 7:44 pm hey bmp, we have a couple of noggings down especially since the electrian and plumber has been through. They will get fixed before the plaster gets put on. We spoke to our supervisor and he said the chippies come through and straighten everything up. Just check with your supervisor. Re: Noggins falling down, falling down..... 7Sep 23, 2007 8:14 pm we have 12 down or missing and no plumber or electrician has been on site. i would ask the supervisor except that when we asked if we could meet him on site next time he is out there to ask questions he said he didn't want to be dragged out there just for us.... Re: Noggins falling down, falling down..... 8Sep 23, 2007 9:05 pm Maybe send an email to your customer service people asking if they are aware and if you should be alarmed. I am sorry I can not help you anymore then that as I am building with a small company and there communication is great I speak directly to the owner of the building company re any issues and leave it with them so I am unfamiliar with the workings of a large company. Just keep an eye on it and be warned it will get worse when the rough in gets done so probably not something that needs to be fixed till then Re: Noggins falling down, falling down..... 9Sep 23, 2007 9:42 pm I'd say local kids are "visiting" and having a bit of fun seeing how "tough" they are knocking these blocks of wood out.
Noggins don't just fall out like that. No mater how much the sparky pushed them. Steve Re: Noggins falling down, falling down..... 10Sep 24, 2007 9:57 am We have the same heppening as shown below, but only on one of them in bedroom up on 1st floor.

But as we have neighbours dumping rubbish into our area, so... don't know, anything is possible. As long as it's fixed, before the internal walls are on, I am ok with that. If the noggings that are missing/loose are located at the ends of the walls, or at the wall junctions, there is no need to worry. It is a method used by carpenters to straighten walls. If the noggings are too long they push the end studs out, it's easier to knock them out and trim them back than to plane off a stud. I would be worried if they haven't been addressed within the week prior to plaster being loaded. With regard to the supervisor not having the time to meet you on site, speak to your CSC and if that doesn't work take it higher - attitude such as this doesn't help anyone.
