Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Jan 10, 2011 8:48 pm Hi all, After reading through other threads and looking at many progress and completion photos, (with much envy i must say), our build will be starting this week. So it's time to make our own thread so we can share with others, what others have shared with us! I have gained so much knowledge about building new homes and things to expect/pick up on by reading others threads, i hope i can contribute to the tone of information already on this wonderful forum through our thread. Going to upload some photos of our land from our camera and scan some pages from our final drawings to post up on here in a little bit! No way was he scoring the bigger robe! There would be no chance of all of my clothes fitting in the smaller one anyway, so he had no choice either way. Plus it says "hers" on it. ALL MINE! Isn't it just super exciting?! Consider the race on though with all this rain i'm doubtful we will have a start on anything. carlswil Congratulations on starting a thread. I love your house plan. Your house looks so big. Thank you. I know some of the other members on here have really big houses (40sq+ ( i wish ) but for us 33sqs is MASSIVE. Our current house is 17sq so the extra space is going to be awsome! It's what we loved about the house also. Yes, you're right, i believe they go by "team PD". sleven Love your colours - can't wait to watch your build! Congrats Thank you. I think i went pretty "safe" with our colours. I'm a little worried about what the windows will look like on the outside of the house. Everything on the outside is dark apart from the render of the portico and the windows. What goes on the outside is also on the inside so i was not having black windows and i wasn't aware i could have wood, our colour consultant didn't show me that as an option. So i'm hoping the white birch will look ok!
