Browse Forums Building A New House Re: H and Mick's Lexington Q1 21Apr 26, 2010 9:04 pm I'm so tired of this "it'll date" business. IMHO I really don't care. I love boldness, something different, oddness etc. Every display home I have been to they use boring old neutral colours. Bland "safe" and boring. I certainly didn't want a bland, boring house with a plain boring interior. I already think some bits of our interior are boring. Once people see the colours in place you will wow them. Same with our black cabinet kitchen and ensuite. In fact I think I am now addicted to black. I really got sick of people telling me what I should/shouldn't have. Re: H and Mick's Lexington Q1 22Apr 26, 2010 9:10 pm Well said Dollar. The whole 'it'll date thing' is the thing that gets old! If you love something, you love it! It wont date. Re: H and Mick's Lexington Q1 23Apr 26, 2010 9:12 pm That's right Erin....if you go with safe things every home you go into looks the same colour wise. Re: H and Mick's Lexington Q1 24Apr 26, 2010 9:36 pm Love the splashback colour too, good on you for going brave And I really love those bricks. The darker ones look awesome. We would have loved to gone for something like that but it was such an expensive upgrade and would have totally blown our budget Re: H and Mick's Lexington Q1 25Apr 26, 2010 10:11 pm Thanks guys....if your paying for it, you have to live in it ...its ur choice....mick was just reading thru a&e build....he is a builder ( works construction in the city for 60+ hrs per week....if i want him to build me a house i'd be a grandmother)....he found it very interesting..
