Thanx kiwi for the note...you made me feel really bad...so you hit the right note.....must go catch up with everyones threads Re: H and Mick's Lexington Q1......GOT OUR HOUSE!!!!!!!! 774Oct 12, 2011 7:03 am glad you are alive. Good to hear things are just busy. Busy we like. Re: H and Mick's Lexington Q1......GOT OUR HOUSE!!!!!!!! 776Oct 16, 2011 7:50 pm Thanks Suh...just been bogged down.....today we started our massive landscaping project...With the help from my brother who is a landscape gardener. When we were planning our home we requested a ''charge system'' which means we can collect rainwater from our roof. Part of the package was a you beaut drainage system around our house....we were banking on drought, but with all the rain weve had in past year so glad weve got the drainage.... so to take advantage of all the ag pipes and silt pits at the front of the house we created a dry river bed, complete with rock retaining walls..and a dry river bed made from small and large flat river rocks...a friend of mine has land with some big rocks nearby, and he willscoop them onto his truck and dump them in our front yard for very goood rate.. anyway here are some pics... before shot: Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ After: Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Imaginewith alot more planting, and black mulch.... This week we will be preparing garden beds around property boundary, plus retaining wall and garden bed along back of house...plus a no dig vegie patch...lawn will have to wait for Micks shed... then its onto decks, lawn, pizza oven, carport, side gates....arrgh!! It never ends..does it....but we are enjoying it... Re: H and Mick's Lexington Q1......Landscaping Pics.... 777Oct 16, 2011 9:35 pm Love it!! Very nice. We wanted to do something with rocks, but I couldn't find any inspiration pics that caught my eye. We ended up just having grass lol. I wish I had seen yours last week!! Re: H and Mick's Lexington Q1......Landscaping Pics.... 780Oct 19, 2011 7:11 am After seeing this, we have decided to do a dry river bed on the other side of our house. Great feature and it solves our drainage problems!! Hi, you've probably already resolved this, however, Commbank will probably pay the funds to you after you send evidence the work is done regardless the change in the quotes. 1 35330 Ha all, I am now about half way (maybe a bit more) through my build with Carlisle Homes - double-storey knockdown/rebuild project.
