Love the colour of your Colorbond roof.
Thanks Dreamer. The colourbond is Windspray and I was rather nervous about it at first, but once it went on I was really happy with it. Not a colour you see too much of from what I have seen.
We are building the grandview 37, and have done a few changes too.
We put a garage entry door in the entry hallway, dont know why there isnt one there to start with!
Sliding doors on the first living room (will do the same as you and have this as a double office).
Lounge/rumpus wall, we are just having a plain wall, and by doing this it has given us an extra 20cms of floor space.
Rumpus, we have bifold bar/servery window (which is opposite main bedroom), and also put in an additional sliding door on the other side, so we can sit in there and watch the kids outside, and then the kids can come inside through that door rather then the bifolds from the dining room, not running in and out while us adults are chilling out there
Pantry, we have continued the bench all the way through, and we are going to put our microwave in there. Under the bench is cupboards, with shelving on top. To the left is all shelving.
I hate dishwashers, and have never used one, even though we have one! LOL So, we are getting the provisions for it, but just not actually going to get one. I will perhaps turn that into a bin cupboard. Will check out whats around as it gets closer.
Laundry, we have a bench all the way across aswell, we swapped it so that the washing machine is next to the door, and sink next to that. Easier to clean that way when we move the machine out. Cupboards under the bench. I am going to get Hubby to pop up some railing aswell for me. I seen it in a display home, and LOVED it! It can be used for drying clothes, or for sorting/ironing. Not that i iron! lol
Best of luck! Cant wait to see FINAL photos of it
Hi Spunky Princess (great name too BTW). You have made some great changes. I love the sound of the servery window in your outdoor room/rumpus, what a great idea. What stage are you up to in the build process and where abouts are you building?
Another fairly big day yesterday. Windows were cleaned in preparation for the flyscreens to go on. The electricians put in the water switch for the rainwater tank, and they also did a cash job for me and put up the ceiling fans we just bought. The correct double sink was put into the bench. Luckily they could just cut out the ceasarstone and you would never know that it is not the original sink installed . Internal door handles are now all on, and the missing mirror sliding doors in the spare bedroom wardrobe were put on. We now also have the mirror in the large niche in the Family Room.
I did a bit of an inventory last night, and this is what they have left to do:
Complete tiling in bathrooms (around vanity mirrors)
Instal whirlybird in the roof
Put on the remaining cupboard door handles in the kitchen and laundry
instal flyscreens
put up the glass shelf in the shower
Ceiling insulation
Plumbing to the water switch
Fix up the tap in the kitchen sink
Fix up tiles in the WC that were ripped out
Paint touch ups
instal kitchen appliances (probably won't hapen until handover)
fix back roller door in garage (it has a loose nut and bolt running around in there somewhere - very noisy )
2 more batten holders to be installed where air con droppers had top be moved
cleaning bricks and inside of house
I also happened to bump into the Construction Manager there yesterday (he is our SS's boss). He was asking me if we were hapy to which I replied that we are extremely happy. He said that we should have our PCI walkthrough in about 10 days (which is next Friday hopefully). Happy days
