Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Apr 23, 2010 10:35 am Morning, I hope I am posting this in the right place. I am currently looking at buying a property/house that falls under a heritage overlay. The house itself (circa 1930) is actually just the frame and outer coverings. The walls, floors, ceilings have all been removed. What I'm wanting to know is if anyone has had success in applying for demolition? Do the heritage advisers prefer it to be at a certain stage of neglect? If it is of any help, the property next door (also under the overlay) has recently had a brand new house built although I don't know if there was a house on it previously.
