Browse Forums Building A New House Re: The Albany 330E - 62 PHOTOS OF ENTIRE SLAB POUR 61Jun 14, 2010 7:22 pm ROFL LMAO .... Hahahaha Nah ... Just my silly sense of humour. I should actually be there most of Wednesday. Going to attempt putting up my own fence, so going to dig a heap of post holes ready. Worked out a bit cheaper doing it myself and actually using better quality material. And the neighbour is happy for me to do it. Should actually get a better quality/stronger fence out of it. Bricks should be arriving very soon i am told, and apparently the brickie is ready and waiting ... In all honesty though, I would HIGHLY recommend my builder to anyone ... Great timing and communication, but maybe i should wait till my build is finished before i go recommending them, they might end up with a few too many jobs via National Builders and then my build will slow down, , ...... Ohh well, hopefully nothing changes for my build just yet. It is moving along just nicely. No, but ive done it before helping out a mate, not difficult at all as long as you have to right tools (post hole digger, drop saw, nail gun, ect make it easier). Sincerely, Anonymous Re: The Albany 330E - 191 PHOTOS so far and Counting .. LO 71Jun 17, 2010 4:17 am The fence im building has to be 1.8m high, 125x125 exposed posts, capped across the top with double sided pailings. Nice looking fence once done, but a bit more mucking around than the old standard fence that was everywhere 15 years ago. And people say its hard to earn a dollar, i could hire myself out just via H1 by the looks of it We're building The Albany 330E with Casa Design & Construction via National Builders Group See how we are going here: https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=32694 Re: The Albany 330E - 191 PHOTOS so far and Counting .. LO 74Jun 17, 2010 4:38 am Nice Estate, I was actually born in Sunbury, moved to West Melton at 4yo and then moved to Caroline Springs at 23yo so know Melton well and are there quite a lot visiting friends. Ill see how I go with this fence first I guess, I know I was quoted $3320 for just 1 side of the boundry and i got all the timber supplies from that same fencer, supply materials only now for $1860 .... Shows just how much of a mark up there is and how much they are making. We have 100 metres of fencing we need, not looking forward to that invoice At the moment, the estate is looking like a filthy mud pit, but should look nice once gardens are established and the council starts planting and does something with that trickle of water thay are claiming is a creek out there.
