Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Apr 20, 2010 12:19 pm Hey Guys, First time poster here, i joined up a few months ago and have been soaking up the great information here and i have to say what a great forum you have here I have just started building my first home at Spring farm in Camden. I was reading through a few of the Spring farm builds and found that a Saline slab was not needed for the area so i went back through my paperwork and found that i have been stung for extra saline treatment being: *Due to saline affected soil provide the following: *32mPa concrete to piers and slab ILOS *Premium orange plastic waterproof membrane underslab ILOS I am waiting to hear back from the builder if this treatment was actually used but was wondering if there was a way to tell if it has been used or not? Main reason i ask is i have seen a few houses going up with an orange plastic under the slab (Saline?) and mine did not have anything like this so thought maybe i could get my money back on this one if the saline treatment had not been done. It does not worry me if it has been done (even though there was no need) but i dont want to pay for something that hasn't been done if i can help it Any thoughts or advice very much appreciated Cheers Guys.
