Why? Because my "negativity" was making people anxious. This is the reason builders get away with poor workmanship. People want to turn a blind eye to it. Those that have a better experience, or are clueless to how bad their house actually is, just want to discard those of us with negative experiences. With under handed comments like "you hear it about all builders". You shouldn't hear it about any builders, their shouldn't be issues like mine and others on any builds. They exist, and just because it didn't happen on yours does not make the concerns any less valid. I'll eventually share countless photos of poor workmanship, non compliant work. Rectification work which is worse than the original defect. Right now, I'm just trying to get these people off my property as quickly as possible so i can go about having things rectified in my own way. Anyone local to Maitland, I am happy to take you over our house and show you what this company does. They exist, and just because it didn't happen on yours does not make the concerns any less valid. I'll guarantee, anyone feeling a bit anxious about what might happen with their build due to my comments, at least one of you will have a bad experience. These are not isolated rare issues, they occur. I have 4 Beechwood Homes in our street, 3 of them have had serious issues including ours, only reason i don't know about the 4th is i have not spoken to the owner. The one up the road has held over final payment for almost a year now because they simply refuse to rectify any issues. These things happen with builds and they happen all to often. Anyone local to Maitland, I am happy to take you over our house and show you what this company does. Yes troy you we're removed from the forum as a few people got sick of the constant negative crap that you were always banging on about. I had issues with my build to the point an engineer closed the site till rectification work was carried out.. follow the process and get the poor work you have had done fixed. Building a house is stressful enough without someone banging on every opportunity they get about their bad experience when everything is going good. Yeah your always going to get issues it's a part of life when a human being is involved in the process it's a part of life. The way you have gone about pushing your issues onto others was the main reason you got removed as to be truthful they didn't want to be associated with any of the legal dramas you have brought upon yourself by reproducing beechwood logos and your prior Facebook page. Out of curiosity what made you build with beechwood in the first place if everything and all the research you done was of a poor build nature? Seems a bit hypocritical if you ask me. If the work is of such a poor nature why have you continued to make the progress payments why not withhold the payment until work has been completed or fixed. The forums represent a very small portion of BW customers which a large majority are happy otherwise they wouldn't be in business. I understand that you state you have had a poor build with issues after issues, however if the work has been completed and your information quoted Is factual it's not classified as slander etc and you have no reason why you carnt show all the photos etc you keep talking about. I've seen posts by people stating they have had external walls pulled down in the past to rectify issues. Work with them rather than against them and the rectification process with be a lot smoother Re: Who is building with Beechwood 15708Sep 08, 2017 6:32 am Whatever. You actually have very little about my build and the issues, only a part on the surface. I'll just leave this here with one of my many images you're waiting to see. That brick they replaced? The one they were directed to replace by Fair Trading, They only cut the face off the brick and replaced the face. But that's great work to be happy with isn't it? I'm only a whinger whose being negative. This is only this brick, not the one directly above they did the exact same to or many others. They even left the cut bricks laying under the spot they did this. And thanks for all your wonderful advice on how i should deal with my problems. Whilst you're offering your advice, don't you think i am a little beyond that as i start gearing up for NCAT Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Re: Who is building with Beechwood 15709Sep 08, 2017 8:36 am Troy79 Whatever. As I said you have had issues, jumping up and down in a forum that has a small audience isn't going to achieve much for you. If they were directed by fair trading to complete a rectification and haven't completed the rectification as per the required standard that would suggest it's still a fair trading issue. Funny how you never mentioned why you still built with them knowing all this bad feedback as you state. No ones saying that you carnt bang on about your issues. All we saying is majority of people were sick of hearing it and just because their build is going well it don't mean that there is always hidden issues Re: Who is building with Beechwood 15710Sep 08, 2017 9:04 am Tom2016 Troy79 Well turns out, you lot decided to Block me from your little "Building with Beechwood" facebook page. It's like flogging a dead horse! Re: Who is building with Beechwood 15712Sep 10, 2017 5:58 am The reason they replace the face is so it doesn't affect the structural integrity of the wall, otherwise when you replace the full brick there's no brickies mud holding it in the bricks extrusion holes. Re: Who is building with Beechwood 15713Sep 17, 2017 7:01 pm Hi Everyone, My name is Scott and this is the second time building with Beechwood in the Shoalhaven Area. Hopefully this will be a better experience than the first but we will wait and see. I will post pictures of plans as I have them come in and they are available. My original plans and story are towards the beginning of this forum so I will not bother going into the details here. Hope others builds are going well and if I can be of any assistance due to the second time round I will certainly try and help...... We have been over 3 weeks now & thought that frames would be delivered around now. Cheers Re: Who is building with Beechwood 15716Dec 01, 2017 10:08 pm Hi el-verdelho, I have different question related to Austral Urban One Latte, hope you would be able to advise me. I have selected Urban one latte thinking that I will get the facade shown in the pic. Now the sales agent says that I will have different facade, I have a cold feet and am thinking of changing the latte colour to more lighter tone. I know it's individual preference but since I have not seen the bricks wanted to get your opinion. Also, do you know if Austral can show me houses with latte bricks. Attached it pic of latte and second one with my actual facade and the colour I am preferring to now. Thanks Andy Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ My actual facade and my new preference Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Re: Who is building with Beechwood 15718Dec 03, 2017 6:31 pm Yes, there are a few.
