Love the brick I think it's the same as ours or it's a similar colour. Re: Who is building with Beechwood 15602Aug 05, 2017 8:38 pm Hi guys, we are looking to build with Beechwood in the MacArthur/Campbelltown area. Would love to hear your opinions on the company-have you had any bad experiences, quality issues, communication issues, lengthy delays? We have been looking at reviews and they haven't been the best, but we are aware that most people leave a bad review when they aren't happy, but rarely leave a good one when they are happy. Also, could anyone recommend a good sales rep to speak to? I went to Oran park and was disappointed with the lack of information I walked away with. We really like the Hayman 37, has anyone built this design? It's a pretty affordable company, though not sure how much it will add up to once we add in upgrades etc. Re: Who is building with Beechwood 15603Aug 05, 2017 9:10 pm Bear17 Hi guys, we are looking to build with Beechwood in the MacArthur/Campbelltown area. You are correct in saying about the reviews on the internet but if you notice these are very old reviews when it was still with the first operators. As you can see in my post above, we're just week 17 yet we've been locked up since over a week ago and some of our friends who have build too thinks it's rather quick. Communication wise, I find them very easy to talk to and any concern that we have, our customer rep answers them almost immediately. You will be assigned your customer rep once you receive your commencement letter. Even the owner/director Vic was very accommodating when I raised an issue with him. Though it seemed that our experiences here varies just like any other builder. We had a change of SS commencing last week but hubby met him this week and hubby thinks he's good and very up to date with our build. Good luck to your build and keep us posted in here and if you have any questions we have very helpful people here to give you advice. Where about are you building? http://buildingourhumblehome.blogspot.com buildingourhumblehome.blogspot.com.au Re: Who is building with Beechwood 15604Aug 05, 2017 9:33 pm Who is building the Asquith36? We are about to pay our deposit on our 2nd build with Beechwood in 4 years. We are adding a 6th bedroom, storage area, extra double garage, extended terazza and all sorts of internal upgrades including 2.7 ceilings. I think they put us in the too hard basket. We are now going through shell cove/Nowra. Although our block ****** in the southern highlands. When talking to their Orange rep about the changes we wanted to the house he recommended we head to Shell Cove. Re: Who is building with Beechwood 15606Aug 05, 2017 10:15 pm Hi tapasr_Lexia4 I noticed on your blog that you're building in the Hillcroft area, we are looking at building in Manooka Valley, Currans Hill. That all sounds pretty good, thanks for the reply. I spoke to Wayne Barton from Beechwood and he reassured me that they go above and beyond, but always good to hear customers opinions. It's all very exciting at this point in time! Re: Who is building with Beechwood 15607Aug 05, 2017 11:23 pm brianna our brick is urban silver and our roof is gun metal...love how the bricks throw off different colours....@Fale of T your near us.We are at Blackalls Park.I grew up in Teralba love Billy goat hill lol.Hope to have gyprock done by end of next week!! Re: Who is building with Beechwood 15608Aug 05, 2017 11:41 pm Would love to have a copy of those booklets too. Add value to your Perth home through the addition of attic storage, which includes an attic ladders and flooring, dust-proof storage room and attic ventilation. We are adding a 6th bedroom, storage area, extra double garage, extended terazza and all sorts of internal upgrades including 2.7 ceilings. We are building on a semi rural block in the Hunter Valley. We are building the Asquith 36, but only made a few changes and did a few upgrades. We are in Lake Mac. We have 2.7 ceilings too for heritage requirements and extended the porch for this reason also. We did a small extension to the guest bedroom to bring it out to the garage wall and changed the main ensuite by removing the bath and adding extra space to the WIR and made the guest ensuite less ensuite and more bathroom by moving the door and changing the layout (only so the kid in this bedroom doesn't feel like the favourite 😂). Can't wait for it to be finished. Re: Who is building with Beechwood 15610Aug 06, 2017 10:23 am bananahead ahhh we looked at urban silver we have Brampton so similar. That's what we liked about our brick to how in different light it has a different tone. I call it the hyper colour brick lol. Our roof is colour bond we went windspray. ahhh good ol BP I grew up in fennell bay and best friend in school lived in Teralba so know all three areas quiet well lol. Fingers crossed for your gyprock. Re: Who is building with Beechwood 15611Aug 07, 2017 10:25 am Hi all OUR LAND IS FINALLY REGISTERED We're just waiting on a settlement date (which will happen sometime in the next fortnight) then hopefully we're full steam ahead. Our understanding is that it will then be lodged to the building certifier, and we have our colour appointment while it's being assessed. Quick question, any upgrades or changes made at colours (ie, we would like a non-standard garage door colour - we like the timber look), does that amount need to be paid our of our pocket or can we tack it onto our Beechwood contract? Also, has anyone chosen a timber look garage door colour that could give me a rough guide on price? Thanks heaps xx Nov 2016 - Land deposit Feb 2017 - Beechwood deposit August 2017 - Land registered (finally) * * OUR BLOG * * https://buildingabeechie.wordpress.com/ Re: Who is building with Beechwood 15612Aug 07, 2017 12:08 pm bredani hi and huge congratulations that's fantastic news. You can add that into your contract so the price of it will be included in your home loan with the bank . Or you can opt to pay for it your self to keep your loan smaller. All our extras that we picked at colour selection we chose to pay for it out of our own pocket to keep our loan smaller. So we got a invoice for $5,600 give or take a couple $ and we were to pay that prior to our plans being given to the drafters for construction. But if you include it in your contract and it becomes apart of your loan you don't need to worry about it. Only a letter stating funds are approved from your bank is all you require Re: Who is building with Beechwood 15613Aug 07, 2017 1:34 pm Fale of T Grae75 Who is building the Asquith36?
