Hmm lets see found out yesterday by the council we are actually living in the house illegally! Yep we have no interim OC let alone Final OC, what gets my goat I asked and re asked at settlement where is the OC's and they advised its all fine and as we did have a few items from the final inspection which prevented us from getting the final OC (ie driveway and retaining walls) so fair enough, but the final inspection required a reinspect to pass it as safe to live in and yep BW never got it done! So over it! And to top it off the council wants $150 to do the inspection because BW have used all the paid for allowance for inspections! So I called BW and was advised that no BW dont apply for any OC's thats up to the owner to do and that I have to pay the $150! WTF!!!! I was like well if we didnt have to have 3 reinspections done during the build for work that wasnt to the council standard we would still have free inspections to enable a final to be completed without cost to me! Oh and yep we still have things that need fixing from our walk through and yep still waiting hmmm 7 weeks later after I dont know how many emails, texts and telephone calls....I am so OVER it! All they want is your $$$$!!!! Not to mention the crap I have had with the council and our landscaper and getting that approved we had to pay another $800 in DA/CC fees for our retaining walls as BW only had the retaining walls DA approved with the house plans but didnt pay for CC so had to start the process all over and stuff me we left a little wall off the new DA/CC and got a dirty letter in the mail this week for unauthorised works that was not in the approved plans so now have to submit another DA/CC for a bl**dy 5m wall! at a cost of $570! Yep so a little pi**ed off! But we are underway with the landscaping starting to look fab, will take some pics on the weekend! ok Rant now over...Sorry! Mark - good luck tomorrow! Enjoy and make sure you list everything nothing is too small! Moon and Sarbear - good to see you have moving well and truly to the contruction stage! Whoa who! We were told he exact same thing just then by our SS that they have had re final Council inspection and there is a list of things we have to get done before another council inspection like driveways etc...think I'll be making other enquiries direct with council myself! The money side is never ending. I'm already sick and tired of forking out money and we are only up to the bloody slab!! Hope things get fixed and you can start to enjoy your new home properly. We are the same with trying to get BW to fix the things after handover. I cant believe there trying to charge you all this extra money. what a nerve Our Acreage Build The Lakeview Lodge - Beechwood Homes 01/04/10 YES 2010 - Deposit paid 23/09 - PCI CANCELLED 28/09 - PCI - will it happen.-18 months later 07/10/11 - ITS OURS..WOOHOO Re: Who is building with Beechwood 1434Nov 04, 2011 7:52 pm outside plumbing done... frames delivered and trusses all delivered too ... happy days building modified merlot with terrazza central coast 23 june 2011 - council approved 18 december 2011 - gyprock Re: Who is building with Beechwood 1435Nov 04, 2011 8:00 pm coastie 1 outside plumbing done... frames delivered and trusses all delivered too ... happy days Great news Coastie. Is outside plumbing next step after the slab? Our slab is due to be poured on Monday. Bit of bugger it was not done this week, plumber delayed us. We are off to Qld on Sunday for 9 nights. We were hoping to take our boys up to see the cement trucks. Will make a pleasant surprise when we arrive back.
