Thankfully the concrete supervisor is sorting out the issues even though we have moved into Construction phase. Were do we start. One of the roof trusses have snapped and was attempted repair not good enough. Frames not bolted to the slab. Few other minor issues. Strip footing to hold the extended roof line didn't line up with the roof so it needs to be extended. Steel posts are not made long enough so they need to change something as they don't reach. Without Trevor I honestly don't know what would happen or where we would be with this build. I wish they would just assign him to the whole job. Re: Who is building with Beechwood 14494Feb 28, 2017 4:03 pm Sheridan 15th of March is our PCI and we are so excited. It's been a long road, partly us, partly the bank, partly BH and the council. We've already noticed two issues with paint and tiling. Anything specific I should look out for during the inspection? We are so excited Re: Who is building with Beechwood 14496Feb 28, 2017 4:17 pm braddy_ nice pics.. how big is your alfresco area? looks impressive.. are your walls gemini silver by any chance? The grand terrazza is 7180x4230. Looks great now but our outdoor table will take up a lot of room and make it seem much smaller I'm sure. Yes it is gemini silver!!! So far, it looks great. Message me if you prefer to talk out of main forum. Looking for some info. Hi Tom2016, Yes we did as we were concerned with something in our framework. We spoke to Beechwood and they said withholding payment would stop them working. I spoke to my SS and he said pay the payment because roof was next and he'll fix up the frame before plaster. We took his word and they made the adjustments. Our SS has been very reliable but minimal contact. If you need something fixed immediately, call them and let them know it needs to be fixed and say you won't pay until it's complete. You have about a week to 10 days after the payment is overdue before they stop work. Your payment doesn't confirm that you are happy with the work though so don't stress about that.
