Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Who is building with Beechwood 14092Dec 15, 2016 10:48 am nataliea This is the condition in our DA they are referring to. As I say, every new house that has been built in our estate has this condition, still people are moved in, have council bins (which you need at least an IOC to get) with no landscaping at front and no fence at the front. Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Everyone has those requirements. Beechwood themselves told me to just move in and sort it out in the next 3 months. For the bins, ring Waste Management and they will deliver the bins. They won't care about the OC. Re: Who is building with Beechwood 14094Dec 15, 2016 11:39 am nataliea lol Beechwood couldent give me a straight answer when I spoke to them yesterday. ahh so frustrating Ignore them all and move in as planned. Just get everything sorted within about 3 months. You will never get a straight answer from anyone as there stories change from day to day and person to person. The council have better things to do than chase up people moving into houses that don't have a driveway. Re: Who is building with Beechwood 14095Dec 15, 2016 11:40 am Just got off the phone with council. They cant do anything and cant influence. They said its up to the certifier. Lookslike i'll be trying to appoint a new certifier. Move in, ring waste management and order bins, get driveway etc sorted, then get certifier back out to finalise the OC. Is the certifier BuildCert? On our last house we did our own slab on the alfresco area. So there was a small drop between the door and the ground. They said we had to put a temporary step and we got a conditional approval. we sent photos once it was finished to get the full occupation cert months later. I hope you can sort it out quickly . Was not at all happy when i did our driveby this morning. The front has had the moroka put on. Yay one might say, except its white and we want Dune. Ok, so apparently that is just an undercoat. But it gets better... we had on the plans that the corbell on the front piers were to be left without moroka. Guess what, they put moroka on it. Seriously, the rest of the bricks are red and this 1 row is the orpheus. Did the painter think it was put orpheus just to make it look pretty until they put moroka on. Since theyve done piering and slab, there's a big pile sitting at the back and front of the house. Our house is nearly ready. Or do we have to get it removed?, our tender has a fixed cost of $1100 for site soil management. We had to remove our excess ourselves . It said in our contract it was our responsibility. Unfortunately it cost quite a bit as we had heaps to get rid of try posting on Facebook free soil... people will often come collect with a trailer if it's free! especially if they have a lot of landscaping or fill required go upvc window frames ensure insulation under colorbond. not just sarking, lighter color roof also not sure if you have seen this viewtopic.php?t=5823 last couple of pages… 4 111043 Even if it's not being sub-divided and you want to keep it as Torrens title, you will still need to talk to a town planner or Council themselves, to see if they will allow… 1 11213 |
