We noticed when the electrical rough in was done there was 2 power point plates on the right and 1 on left at kitchen splashback. Now it's gyprocked and electrical cut outs been done there is still 2 cut outs on one side (as per pic). Our plans for electrical was just 1 on either side. Any ideas what the 2nd one could be for? Are we missing something? I didn't check if the point in the pantry is where it should be. Going to have to check up on it as we need the point in pantry for microwave. I hope they didn't get it mixed up. Just concerned because we paid to get fancy black faceplates for the splashback and only got 2 as that's what we needed. We have the same switch, I'll check it out tomorrow when I go to the new house We rang electrician this morning to enquire about the extra point. Yes it's for the oven, but no it's not suppose to be there (in our case). Our electrician rep specifically ordered the oven switch to be part of the power point, not a seperate point, but the electricians did it wrong. All good though, they are onto it. They already admitted fault, got onto site supervisor who has arranged to get the extra hole plastered, then it's going to be covered by glass splashback anyway so not seen. By the time we contacted SS he already had things in action to rectify it. Cannot complain about that service for sure. 20/11/15 - Settled land 06/11/15 - Request 1st tender BH 21/04/16 - Colour Selections and Contracts Signed 31/05/16 - Commencement Letter 24/06.16 - Started work onsite - cut and benching begun Re: Who is building with Beechwood 13829Nov 14, 2016 6:58 pm tapasr_Lexia4 I another silly question from a novice here... apparently sarking is optional in NSW. Anyone did not put sarking? If we (hypothetically) don't put sarking, what's the effect? Thanks all your inputs. sarking Isn't one of those areas I would look at cutting costs on even on a tile roof. As a fire fighter we have seen many many many leaky roofs where ceilings have collapsed due to the water coming in through broken roof tiles. The last major storm we were called to a house 12 months old. The owner had contracted someone to instal TV aerials as a result had cracked about 6 roof tiles.. Long story short the ceiling fell in. Poor family was shattered. $5,500 is a fairly good safety net. Re: Who is building with Beechwood 13830Nov 14, 2016 7:31 pm nataliea We paid out of pocket for our upgrades (around $900). Wish I knew I could of tried to get it included in our loan. Damn me too... I'm with ANZ and they were fabulous at pushing it through, although I did call them a few times to stress I wanted the valuation done asap, the valuer actually turned up during PCI. Then first thing friday morning I called them again to see if the valuers report was in, it was so they submitted it & the cheque was drawn up ready to be picked up within 4 hrs. So don't be affraid to call your bank and see where it's at. With BH north coast office you need to make an appointment to get the keys, only takes 10mins at most to go through the warranty books etc. they gave us an esky bag with a bottle of something, and 2 wine glasses and a bbq pack..although I was expecting an air conditioner or something more substantial for being 10wks over..Lol go upvc window frames ensure insulation under colorbond. not just sarking, lighter color roof also not sure if you have seen this viewtopic.php?t=5823 last couple of pages… 4 110900 Even if it's not being sub-divided and you want to keep it as Torrens title, you will still need to talk to a town planner or Council themselves, to see if they will allow… 1 11163 |
