Went to check out our house. Since we've been gone (3/10 - 20/10) they have done eaves, frames for coffered ceiling to terrezza, plumbing/electrical/air con rough ins, most insulation installed, preliminary waterproofing to wet areas, bricks washed and gyprock and cornices delivered sitting in the garage. Looking awesome, love the bricks even more now they are cleaned. Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Look amazing! I know you use a wall mount bracket, but how do you connect all the leads to foxtel/dvd etc...through the wall? Re: Who is building with Beechwood 13596Oct 22, 2016 3:16 pm Balk Hi All, Another quick and odd question. For those who are close to completion or have had their build completed can you please advise if a drainage point was installed under your garden taps (both town water and water tank)? At the moment I am being told that the drainage points are not part of the build and that I would need to organize this myself. I have spoken to two plumbers and both have advised that the builder should be organizing this or at a bare minimum providing me the details of the drainer they used as they are aware of the job already. Any suggestions or advice would be appreciated. Balk, ours will be finished in a few wks we don't have drainage under the taps so will need to organise these after handover as well. We have downpipes near ours so Im thinking we'll just add a T junction and tie it in that way to stormwater...unless someone suggests another way?? Re: Who is building with Beechwood 13597Oct 22, 2016 4:31 pm lileegirl can someone please help me get my head around hanging the tv on the wall? I know you use a wall mount bracket, but how do you connect all the leads to foxtel/dvd etc...through the wall? Do you have cables that run down that wall already? if so, you could pull the cables through inside the wall and put plugs behind the tv.. I am hoping the hole the tv cable goes through is big enough for me to pull Foxtel cables though.. hopefully ill get a chance to talk to sparky before hand. Re: Who is building with Beechwood 13598Oct 22, 2016 4:34 pm For the TV on the wall - you have 2 options. The nicer option is to put the cabling into the wall and down a conduit, with the cabling emerging lower down where your electronic equipment is. The other option is to have a conduit pipe on the front of the wall. This is quicker and cheaper but you can then see the conduit (but still better than exposed wiring). We are getting our electricals through Costa and have arranged for the necessary internal conduits. Re: Who is building with Beechwood 13599Oct 22, 2016 6:09 pm Ah yes makes sense now! Sparkie will be out on thurs to install downlights/points etc so will see what he can do with conduit down through the wall. My brother in law got us to add HDMI & data points near the tvs, problem is I can't remember why Lol...Hey what about having foxtel etc say in a cupboard in another room or in the garage & running it wirelessly...is that possible?? go upvc window frames ensure insulation under colorbond. not just sarking, lighter color roof also not sure if you have seen this viewtopic.php?t=5823 last couple of pages… 4 110808 Even if it's not being sub-divided and you want to keep it as Torrens title, you will still need to talk to a town planner or Council themselves, to see if they will allow… 1 11129 |
