Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Who is building with Beechwood 11315Jan 28, 2016 2:34 pm Good luck with that Amanda, considering the rain we have had and the fact that any rain over 1mm in any 24 hr period is considered a rain delay and added to the build time along with numerous other things your chances of any dollars is pretty slim. Of course if you wish to use one of the solicitors you work for you may have a chance as Beechwood like to pull theirs out very quickly once a dispute arises. As for the handover gift there was one but we left it sitting on the table when we left. Re: Who is building with Beechwood 11317Jan 29, 2016 5:58 pm Amanda83 Thanks Ourbayswater. No, they haven't given us a date as yet but I would like to work out when the end contract date is (26 weeks), and how they calculate it from being the time we sign contracts, or when they started to cut land etc? Hubby and I have roughly counted by mid March, but there's still a quiet a bit more they need to do and don't think they will be done by then. Admittedly tho, they have been very quick with our build and the only delay we have had was about one week at brick time due to the rain. Hopefully they get started on your place soon and finish the roof. we've been told our commencement letter is in the mail so one of my girls was just reading this forum, searching build times etc and found the following on pg 9 at the bottom....I wonder if its still the same?? We didn't think to change it. Has anyone built this and left niche as standard? Is your tv big enough in the theatre room? Wish we had deleted nib walls and just run a long bank of cabinetry along bottom of wall (I saw that in a show home today and it was great).
