Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Who is building with Beechwood 8166Aug 05, 2014 3:16 pm I'm not sure myself. BW told me my final invoice. Will come next week. I have to give my bank at least two weeks notice so I've emailed the bank. Have to ask bank do they need an interim occupation certificate from BW. Some banks don't BW told me. At walk through you tell ss what you think needs done (if anything major) he writes it in a book. BW also told me need to ring office to book a time to hand over check and pick up keys. It could be on same day as long as bank has cheque ready. Not really sure about if I need to get a certificate from council either. Maybe some else here can help us. I also have to give my real estate 3 weeks notice. So BW haven't gave us much notice. The only reason I knew is I rang BW office to see what was going on Re: Who is building with Beechwood 8167Aug 05, 2014 6:00 pm Looking good Merlot Congrats sylpac, exciting. Regarding the whole walk through process, all I can say is stay on top of everything, your bank, BH, council/certifier and all will be fine. I pressured my bank daily in the last few days to push through the valuation to allow final cheque to be ready to pick up morning of the walk through so we could go straight to get keys same day. We also had to be out of rental and didn't want to pay them another cent more. SS should be able to guide you through. Make sure they book your A/C install in ASAP if you have it. As due to theft they do not install the control or outdoor unit until you are in. With this cold weather, the sooner the better. I can't speak for other banks but CBA don't require an interim to release final payment. Anything else you want to know. Just ask. Who is building with Beechwood 8180Aug 05, 2014 9:46 pm Ok. After being told the sovereign won't fit on our block, we are going to make lemonade from the lemon we've been given and we are looking at the verdelho 4 twist - we are looking to widen it which is apparently about $800 per sq/mtr. Has anyone done this?? Does that 800 just cover the slab/frame etc and do we still need to pay extra for the tiles and paint for that extra space or would the 800 be all inclusive? Ps am impressed with the amount if progress peoples are having - and the lack of complaints/issues! {Knock on wood} Hey guys building a new place through a volume builder and just wondering if i should complain to the site supervisor as we just had plasterboard installed. Looks like… 0 11746 Elvis has left the building... The site supervisor quit after 2 month on the project. I guess he was just instructed to bark at people, but didn't like when he was… 26 21461 |
