Did you have your final account from BB already. Find out what all the hardwear on the side of the house is for and let me know... Thanks! I will report back as soon as we're done. I really do hope the things I'm going to point out, will get fixed in time Luckily, it's all cosmetic.. could've been much worse. I'm on holidays right now, so would really like it all to take much less than the 14 days (Friday would be nice!!). Yep we did get our final account, it was only a small amount (10 grand or so) and the bank will release it to them via EFT as soon as the permit is faxed to them. If worse comes to worse we can cover it with a bank cheque on the day. Did you guys order that colour clothesline? Ours was supposed to be green with yellow wire. We have a reinspection due 30th Nov, then settle/handover on the 1st Dec @ 10am! Hey jabblo, we were supposed to get green clotheslines afterall, I just said to keep it as it is, its no biggy for us. Now to start packing Our solar panel went up last week so that can be ticked off on our list. What came down though was the lower half of the sisalation in the garage which was in a pile on the floor of the garage with a brick sitting on top. We spread it all out on the floor near the wall that it should be on with a sign that says WHY! Re: CDandRB's Burbank Victory 1500 - Handover ETA 1st Dec!! 227Nov 22, 2010 2:54 pm eepsh! make sure you call up your admin and get some answers catjim! I saw a mixer and a few station wagens this morning around your place - it was very busy in your street (almost got taken out by a tractor)! RE: solar panels, it was funny.. jabblo's went up ages ago and I kept on asking and asking, because I figured that they would want to get it in before the tiles get all finished up.. but no, it would appear the contractor ticked it off (and got paid!) without actually doing it. My SS was pretty animated when calling up to re-organise it.. We should be getting them installed Thursday, so we'll wander up and check in the evening. Apparently it is done seperately to the HWS installation. One minor paint fix up in the hallway and another in the bedroom, light fittings need to be reclipped (sagging in some bits..), bit of morter on the outside missing and a few other little odds and ends.. this and the oven/range/top install then voila, we're settled Occupancy permit came through today also so the money should be all sweet! It felt good handing the "Intention to Vacate" notice to our rental agency.. last time, ever... wow. CDandRB have built: Victory 1500 (Boardwalk) in Devonia Park, Pakenham. I saw a mixer and a few station wagens this morning around your place - it was very busy in your street (almost got taken out by a tractor)! Have left a message for the SS so hopefully he's on to it. Last time I was waiting around for him to call back he waited until he was at the house to see for himself so I'm not worried that I haven't heard anything. Have just had a email from the admin people with queries regarding various cabinets so good to see that they are asking and not just doing what they think. We were thinking about going to see the cabinet people on Wednesday but looks like all our queries have been resolved now as well as theirs. Not to mention that the cabinets are on their way. A mixer sounds like progress too and I can only think that that means bricks cdandrb It felt good handing the "Intention to Vacate" notice to our rental agency.. last time, ever... wow. Thanks for info on openetworks done it today all ready to go for next week ...so easy. Now I have to work out which plan I want from internode.. Wonderful, it's actually not too hard to get all set-up, but I think Opennetworks need to work closer with the builders (other than just "telling them"). These builders are just that.. and the electricians aren't all up to speed with data services. I'd suggest going with the basic plan with internode, because you can always "up" it later as your needs change. CDandRB have built: Victory 1500 (Boardwalk) in Devonia Park, Pakenham. The picture gives a good overview I'll tidy up the facts and figures once mine gets installed (so then I'll understand the "connection" side a bit better). There's a fair bit to understand with the fibre set-up, but the good news is you don't actually need to do much - just need to make sure your builder/elec does their bit, and that you register/update opennetworks with your dates CDandRB have built: Victory 1500 (Boardwalk) in Devonia Park, Pakenham.
