Did all your pre-start costs come back as expected? It’s funny how everybody thinks that our house is so big but in fact is only a fraction bigger then Nautilus. I think is the fact that the house is designed on the wider side compared with most of the standard plans which are narrow and long makes it look bigger. The difference between Nautilus and our plan is only 15sqm – and that includes the store in the double garage so very little difference. P1T I need to check your blog - any updates? Oh and I'm still waiting for my pre-start pricing... hopefully I'll hear from them tomorrow... fingers crossed... No doors on your theatre? I don't think I have seen the Amari display - may have to go check it out for ideas - frontage looks nice... Is pretty hot outside today just came back from moving two trailers of potted plants from my garden to the rental place - phew - it's so hot... we'll have to wait a bit to cool down and continue Are you at lock-up yet? The last couple of weekends we've been busying ourselves moving our stuff to the rental place - is taking ageeeeeeeees... how in earth did we end up with so much crap?? We already did sort through most of the stuff and gave away whatever we didn't need to family, charities, bits and pieces though Freecycle but still have a tonne of stuff to move out... phew... I'm exhausted just talking about... - oh and it doesn’t help when you are as mad as I am and dig out almost 300 plants from your garden and have them re-potted.... only moving the pots took us 6 trips with our trailer – some of the pots weigh a tonne each so we did awake some of our long forgotten muscles .... Oh – on a sad note - our poor cat “Bagheera” didn’t come home since last Thursday... I think she is dead. We did look around the neighbourhood but we couldn’t find her. She is not a friendly cat to strangers so we were thinking that she might’ve wondered in some open shed and maybe locked in by mistake - but we kept calling her at night when quiet - could not hear her at all. The only logical explanation is that she was hit by a car. As we didn’t find her body we still have that “what if”. Poor bubby ... RIP... I'm so sorry to hear about Bagheera, Bagheera! (ha!) I had to take my poor big cat to the vet for the last time last October, I'd had him for 15 years to the month My daughter had grown up with him (she's 10), and dad was just an absolute mess (I wasn't allowed to take Silky cat when I left home 10 years ago, so him and dad were very close too). But! My neighbour lost his cat a couple of months ago. Big Smokie went missing for 2 weeks.. neighbour was out riding his bike through the streets every day looking for him, we checked our shed and all through our house.. nothing. Smokie wandered home almost on the 2 week mark, a bit worse for wear, but after a day or two in hospital he's as good as new and back to sitting on the fence trying to tempt my Bella ragdoll cat So there is still hope yet! Back to the building stuff though. Hopefully it doesn't take too much longer for you to get all of your costings. I've just sent you a PM with my latest I will leave things hanging on my thread until we make our decision, but I do have to emphasise that during this construction phase, we have had no problems at all with communications between us and CLO and our SS. They've been very fast at getting back to us asap when we've contacted them. Oceanic with Nautilus upgrades. Fingers crossed that Mr Bank Man doesn't take too long with it. Is Bagheera chipped? Have you rang local vets "just in case"? Oceanic with Nautilus upgrades. Handover 8 September 2010 Re: Bagheera's new pad - DAH 31Apr 29, 2010 1:30 pm No she is not chipped - we couldn't even put a collar on her - when she was a kitten she almost strangled herself, the second time she managed to put one of her front paws through the collar and we found her all exhausted going berserk trying to figure out how to get the collar off... we tried with no luck and gave up... We did ring the local vets on Saturday but they only had one ginger cat brought in which was hit by a car and died but no Bagheera – she was black with a few ginger spots here and there ... the vet confirmed that the cat they had was fully ginger no black at all... I might ring again just in case she was found later but I don’t hold my breath...
