Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Bagheera's new pad - DAH - PCI done :) 1244Feb 24, 2011 11:25 pm Good luck bags - hope it all works out for you. I remember the same 'numbness' - its a sucky feeling when you have worked so hard. They got my garage door from another job (and another builder's job at that) but i needed to have stern words with Centurion in order for that to happen. I would probably recommend not to go ahead with handover as once they got the money you will wait for the tradies for weeks to show up. Re: Bagheera's new pad - DAH - PCI done :) 1246Feb 25, 2011 1:59 pm Hi lovely H1-ers - we have the keys... I'm relieved and tired and hot... 2 hours with SS on site this morning writing all the outstanding items and checking that everything picked up at PCI was done. Oh well - another two pages of handwriting.... the painter turned up and she was going to re-spray all the ceilings as there is too much stippling - no more playing around and patching a bad job - just spray it alright... They installed the mirror in the Bathroom and it looked beautiful - apart from the fact that the electrician turned up - installed the ppoint and 5 minutes after he left the mirror cracked... - hehehehe - at least the SS was there - he wasn't too pleased... it will be re-placed hopefully by end of the week... There are still things to be done but we can live in the house. Tonight and tomorrow I'll be offline - no more internet at home... and we will be going mad with the move. Rental keys have to be handed over tomorrow night 4pm... wish me luck coz I need it. BUT.. once we had our own tradies in doing living area tiles, carpets and painting, and then moved our stuff in, the excitement hit home that we were now in our new house. There are still problems, but hopefully they will be all sorted very soon. I don't envy you having to move in this heat! Good luck with the move xx Oceanic with Nautilus upgrades. But you get it fixed and feel all super awesome happinessness all over again. When you get some stuff set up right for yourselves in different rooms and more and more things fall into place the only thing that is gonna upset you is all the work you still have to do around the house, especially if it is still so hot that the dinner plate sized spiders keep coming in to eascape the heat. Re: Bagheera's new pad - DAH - PCI done :) 1257Feb 26, 2011 9:43 pm Hi guys Thank you all for your wishes and thoughts... I do love my little support group here... We did wake up this morning at 4.30 ready for action trying to get a lot of stuff done before the heat of the day. 14 hours later - 4 adults and 2 teenagears and I still have some stuff left in the shed - I am sooooo exhausted. I shed three layers of skin... I'm filthy... but I''m going home shortly to have a shower and make my bed and colapse... this little post is typed on my nephews pc as my lovely husband didn't ring telstra yet - oh well can't blame him - we have so much on our plates at the moment... Will check in again later - hope everybody is well - will catch up on your threads once back online.
