Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Apr 12, 2010 12:05 am Hi This is the first time I have ever posted on here, so I hope it works!! I am building my first home in Canning Vale WA and am stressing big time over external colour choices! I didnt think it would be this hard - i thought I knew exactly what I wanted, but I didn't!! I am mainly stuck on render and gutters/fascia and also the front door!! Would love any opinions or photos that people may have that may help me make up my mind! I think I am tossing up between shale grey or dune for the render, as I like the grey type of colour schemes. I thought that with the light garage door (surfmist) and a neutral render it would look nice and clean and fresh. My colour choices that are locked in are: roof: Harmony roof tile- Monsoon (charcoal) bricks: Midland Brick Traditional garage: surfmist Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ window frames: Moonglow (not as brown as the pic, more of a nude colour) Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ The house will be rendered at the front and will wrap around the sides by 1 metre. So i need to make sure that the gutters/fascia will match both the render at the front and the redbrick/window frames around the sides and back. I was thinking either having the gutter, fascia and downpipe charcoal to match the roof (Solver charcoal) OR Charcoal gutters with the fascia a different colour to match the render. Also, should the front door be surfmist to match the garage door, or should it be dark to match the roof? At first I thought I would have it the same as the roller door to keep the 'fresh, light look' however now i am not too sure, as it may be too light and washed out?? Any help will be greatly appreciated!! Cheers NutmegSpice Building with Ross North Homes, Canning Vale Perth. The Dulux colour consultants are awesome. I have used it to bond mdf to timber, but in the process it dripped… 1 4290 |
