Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Apr 10, 2010 2:27 am We are considering to build with H. but after a couple general enquires we are still unsure what the real story is about double glazing at H. as the display centre staff been giving us vague responses; e.g. "you do not really need them...", "probably $300 to $600 per window...". Also, from a brief conversation with A&L windows (H's windows supplier) it seems the A&L's sliding aluminium windows (we would have quite a few of them) do not have an option for double glazing. Has anyone, successfully or not, tried to upgrade all windows & doors in the H. home to double glazed? Would love to hear from you. Extra cost over standard windows was $4500 for all the windows (16 in total) plus 1 sliding door. House size is 28 squares.
