Hi Aaurora,
We been given a handover date of 7th November.....can't wait. Quick question, have Adenbrook now fixed the few issues you had at handover?? If so, how long did that take??
Cheers,
Mark

Yes, they were very quick with fixing any errors. The hot water system was not installed correctly so we did not have hot water for 3 days (but we just had showers at our rental). There was not many issues, mainly just bits of paint here and there, and that was all done that day. best of luck with your handover!! Our Adenbrook home was completed in September. Re: Handover is Tomorrow! 23Oct 23, 2007 2:54 pm Thanks Aaurora........we're just looking for some reassurance Re: Handover is Tomorrow! 24Oct 23, 2007 4:12 pm Congrats on moving in, its really exciting.
For for a couple of tips: Keep a folder, pad and pen, and start writing things down that need to be fixed down the track (assuming you have a 90 day maintenance or something like that??). it is easier to write it down when you see it rather than to try to remember things the day before. Some house movement is normal, especially in new house, and a dry climate. We had some of our archs redone and repainted due to excessive movement, and the big M were fine with what we pointed out. If you chave downlights, change them all now. WHY B/c within 3 months they will blow b/c they are generally crappy ones. Saves you getting the ladder out once a week. Again, congrats! Now the fun begins... Adrian B Re: Handover is Tomorrow! 25Oct 24, 2007 1:34 pm One of our downlights has blown already and it is in the pantry! It was installed about a week ago (noticed this on the weekend when we got into our house). So that's an interesting point about replacing them all at once!
My hubby loves his ladder - makes him feel all domestic and manly when he has to get up onto it to fix something, so he will probably do one at a time for kicks THEY HAVE FINISHED THE HOUSE AFTER NINE LONG MONTHS... BUT! The carpet is the wrong colour... Can you give advice on how to get missing certificates needed for a form 21? Our bank requires us to provide one but we are missing 4 building certificates from our first… 3 71810 yes it does, you've just not understood it. theres a difference. 4 5322 Your house should come in "as new" condition.
