I was looking at creme color front double door, corinthian door with glass squares running vertically. I was thinking of wood finish garage door. What color for roof ? will tile or tin roof be good for this elevation ? What paint color selecttion will be good ? If so, why not ask the respective builder what colours they used and copy them? we've going with a 2 tone render on our house - 150% strength Solver Beaver for bottom half of wall and and 100% strength for top half. We've gone with colourbond monument roof & gutters, and 150% strength Solver Beaver for fascias. We've chosen Solver Pelt for our front door, and because I wanted a bit of a reddish colour to contrast, we chose colourgrain Caoba for the garage door. Hope this gives you some ideas to help you select your colours Building SOR with Dreamstart Homes Customised Dream Dior/Summer Sensation https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=83776 Re: Elevation Ideas 4Apr 06, 2010 11:04 pm I'd personally go with colourbond, and definitely with a lighter coloured roof. Remember that the darker it is the more heat is absorbs. Lighter colours reflect the heat. The following two images are your facade, and I have used the colours from the colorbond palette Shale grey roof, dune gutters, surfmist fascia. Choose a beigey/creamy colour that you like. Up to you if you want feature colours or not, but I think it will look classier with just a different colour for your pillars (a paler version of what you use elsewhere) Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Same colours with monument roof and gutters, jasper fascia. If you're interested in going for a paler roof take a look at mine - we have colorbond surfmist for roof, gutters and fascias (although fascia not painted yet) with dulux white duck render (full strength on front room, quarter on the rest). You need to decide what kind of colour you want on your render. There are so many creamy/beigey colours available. Some are pink based, some brown, some yellow, some look more grey. It's up to you what suits your needs, and it is very personal. It will also look different in the daylight to any colour samples that you get. The lower chord of the first pic would be a massive lump if made using timber considering the size of the rafters.
