----- The issue of the kitchen has been resolved... I received a phone call today from Dean (I hope he doesn't mind me using his name for the second time on my blog) in regards to the issues that were annoying me and generally causing me to feel this way about his company. I vented about all my issues to do with customer service and construction, how I felt I was being treated and the reasons that I took the position that I had in regards to all the comments made on my blog and the various forums I am associated with. He listened without interruption and at the end explained why the company had taken the line it had and apologised that I felt the way I did. He insisted that the company did not want any angry /unhappy clients and that they promote a "work together attitude" to keep their clients happy. Dean assured me that I would be extremely happy with the final product. The end result is that I have had my faith restored in Carlisle Homes and whilst there have been a few compromises made to this point I am mostly happy with where we are at. I look forward to the progress made from here on in being much happier. I'm glad it has changed for the better, shouldn't be too much longer now? It will be nice to finish on a good note though wouldn't it? Re: Carlisle Homes - Updated 24/10/2007 - A new beginning... 6Oct 15, 2007 10:50 pm Phoenix,
Should have handover around the end of November if all goes to plan. More like December though There is still at least 1 major hurdle to get over but the way in which this issue has been approached has been excellent so far. Hearty in my praise when it is due but equally so the other way when I am not! I'M NOT SURE IF I'M IN THE RIGHT SECTION FOR THIS QUESTION, BUT I HAVE BEEN READING ABOUT YOUR JOURNEY WITH CARLISLE & HAVE A QUESTION ABOUT ONE OF YOUR ISSUES. WHAT WAS THEIR RESPONSE ABOUT THE 20MM BENCHTOPS INSTEAD OF 40MM? I HAVE RECENTLY BUILT WITH CARLISLE & AM JUST ABOUT TO HAVE MY 3 MONTH MAINTENANCE INSPECTION & I WAS CONCERNED THAT MY "40MM" BENCHTOPS LOOK TO BE 20MM. I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW BEFORE I MENTION IT TO THEM, SO THANKS IN ADVANCE FOR YOUR REPLY. Re: Carlisle Homes - Updated 24/10/2007 - A new beginning... 12Oct 17, 2007 1:43 pm PIP,
I am not in a position to comment about the outcome of that until after I resolve another issue today. Another construction issue has arisen that is being negotiated currently. I will let you know if/when I can. Sorry.
