Ok, so most people here know that we are building a henley home and having lots of problems.
Well i thought we had gotten over all the hurdles and were on our way of finishing up and boy was i glad.
We had a pre final inspection, wich turned out 39 faults.
So that means they have to fix it, not massive faults just marks here and there, cupboard handles had to be changed and a benchtop had to be sent away.
So we thought ok, no probs might take a couple of weeks.
Fast forward 5 weeks later, Painting hasnt hven been finished.
The site supervisor Justin told me it would all be finished this past friday.
And boy was i dissapointed when i went and had a look on Sunday that not even the undercoat of paint hadnt even been applied to our home theater room.
I wish we had a way into the house to see what else wasnt finished.
So i called him this morning to find out why it wasnt finished, he avoided every question and didnt really answer them, just avoided them.
Said if i want he will call me this afternoon and give me an update.
Now im not upset that its not finished, its more that i was told it would be and i dont like being * to.
Is that fair enought? Do i have a right to be frustrated and a bit upset?
If they wanted to they could have had this house finished weeks ago.

If you do not hear from anyone as promised, i would elevate the situation. I thought i read that you had spoken to someone in management before? Do you still have their details? Call them and chase it up from a higher perspective. You have a right to be p'd off. I would be too, but i would be calling nearly every day or every 2nd day to chase up progress. Stay on it and don't give in. This is your house and you are paying for it. So you want it done correctly and in the time frame discussed. And they avoid answering the questions. What gets me, is that our first site supervisor said our house should be complete by end of financial year. Then he got fired, and now we have this other guy that i dont really like but have to deal with anyway. Ill keep updating on whether or not he calls me. I couldnt even go look at the house cause it was pouring. Normaly i would be happy, but i highly doubt it will all be done. So by Friday next week all should be finished and we should get our Final inspection. That will make it 6 weeks since our last inspection. 6 Weeks to fix those mistakes is way too much. Boy will i crack it if its not finished by the end of next week. I wouldnt want to be * to again. That means when the site supervisor told me it would be finished last friday, add two frickin weeks. Im taking bets now for how many mistakes wont have been fixed on our final inspection. If the house has no faults i will be gobsmaked and will praise henley, but not before. Hi FG, Once they have handed your file over to handover, someone from there (I think theres only two of them) will call you in the next couple of days. They will book in your handover inspection, and then depending on how you have arranged to pay them the final payment, and you have no probs (fingers crossed) then you decide when to pick up the keys. From our final inspection to getting the keys was about a week. Then you make a time that suits you for all all appliances to be installed, they will only give you a time frame of all day though, so from 7 - 5 you have to be there, no am or pm which was a bit frustrating. I'm sure you would have already said, but where abouts is your house? Had a look at the house last night, and there is yellow dots everywhere so im guessing handover has been thru it. Got a call from a lovely girl today saying that the inspector wants to do the home presentation next Thursday. Will be interesting to see it then, cause we cant get in the house any more.
