Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Apr 01, 2010 11:31 am Hi and welcome to Mohamed's building forum. I have been fairly new to this website and so far i have learnt alot of stuff which i didnt know. we are a big family so we are looking at around a 30 to 34 sq home with these facilities. 1. a big masterbedroom with double vanity 2. a lounge area for guests 3. four good sized bedrooms 4. a rumpus room 5 and a study these are the facilities we need in our new house. we have been visiting alot of display homes around melbourne and we found alot of good builders with the facilities we need but firstly we have bought a 512m2 block of land in the hunt club. it was a great area for environment and we had a lot of friends there. our block's dimensions are 16 wide by 32 long. So after about 3 months of going every saturday and sunday to display centres we have decided to build a simonds house which was a 33 square house with all those facilities. at simonds what really draged us was the early site start, they had offered us. our land luckily was titled so we were looking for early site start simonds was offering us early may site start, and that really dragged us into buying with them. we took a big advantage in the simonds promotion which was pay 10000 and get 30000 worth of upgrdades. i will tell you later what we got first lets show pics of the area Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Enjoy the photos and keep in touch with my forum i will be posting regularly Cheers, Mohamed 8/5/10 we've been scraped 15/5/10 we've got a slab 21/5/10 frame started 23/5/10 frame finished My thread: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=31827 building thread(simonds)(vic)loads of pics and info must see 2Apr 01, 2010 11:38 am Our promotion For our promotion this is what we got 1. free standing oven 2. tecknika dishwasher 3. caesarstone benctops 4. large pot drawers 4. overhead cuboards 5. laundry trough 6.exaust fan to bathromm and ensuite 6. evaporative cooling 7. I'm a bit jealous of the ceasarstone bench tops. As others say, if you can upload your plans to photobucket and post them on the forum that's the easiest way. I look forward to seeing them. Handover February 2011 Happy with our home Re: mohamed's building forum(simonds homes) 13Apr 01, 2010 3:17 pm Hi Mohammed, if your plans are saved as a PDF, do a print screen then paste it into Paint (or something similar) and save it as a jpg. Your promotion sounds great too, one of the bonuses of a bigger builder is the bigger offers and incentives I suppose. Handover February 2011 Happy with our home Re: mohamed's building forum(simonds homes) 16Apr 01, 2010 4:34 pm on the 1st of february we had signed the initial deposit for $1500 to lock in the promotion and our base price as prices were going up in April. 8/5/10 we've been scraped 15/5/10 we've got a slab 21/5/10 frame started 23/5/10 frame finished My thread: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=31827 Re: mohamed's building forum(simonds homes) 17Apr 01, 2010 11:22 pm on the 20th of February we had our tender which is the time u can do the changes. we didn't change a lot of stuff but what we did change was to double the size of the pantry as it was small. add cavity sliding doors to 2 locations. and we put an overhang for the island bench that was pretty much all you can see in the plans what we have changed. our progress is going as planned so far smoothly and i hope you can keep up with my thread Thanks Mohamed 8/5/10 we've been scraped 15/5/10 we've got a slab 21/5/10 frame started 23/5/10 frame finished My thread: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=31827 Re: mohamed's building forum(simonds homes) 18Apr 02, 2010 12:02 am I hope we can too.
