just thought I wouls share some progress with you all.
yesterday we spent 7 hours with the bricklayer marking out all of the walls on the concrete and working out where the brick palettes should go. He used this permanent oxide marker stuff and flicked it onto the concrete so that there is a precise guide for when the bricks go down. It was so fascinating to be part of and to know that we helped do it is really rewarding. Although the blisters and sore back this morning aren't so rewarding! here are some pics!
helen had to sweep the concrete first!! they seem to be teaching me to be a better housewife!!
then how the lines looked when marked
and then the markout for where the face bricks vs the second hand internal bricks go
brickie said he can't start for another 4 weeks which is a bit of a shame but he is worth waiting for!
Are we Crazy? yeah probably!

Thanks. I called VBA today and they said it was a Consumer Affairs issue, the old handball. Seems like the government organisations don't want to do their job at the moment.
