Re: V&J's Lisbon 22- Disappointed with 3 month inspection.. 322Aug 03, 2011 4:54 pm Hi all,
Very sorry for the lack of updating. I honestly don't have much positives going on right now. Just getting over a month long ordeal with my dog going into planned surgery and then having some unplanned complications.. after a total of roughly $8,5000 of which hopefully all I have to pay for is $3,500 - $5,000. This seriously dented our backyard budget which means we wont be getting concrete/ landscaping until next year now.. Onto today where I was not very happy with the 3 month maintenance repairs. First thing after a ring of the door bell the guy comes barging in saying 'I need to check the list with the defects'.. No introduction, no hello.. As I was showing him the things to fix he was speaking to me like they were insignificant and trying to tell me cracking grout against kickboards is ok (It looks terrible and should be siliconed to have resistance) and that using two layers of grout in the kitchen (one brown and top layer white) is "just dirt". Seriously? I had to get my dad to house sit because I had to work and I found out he didn't even go up into the roof!! This is where the main problem is becuase the sarking hasn't been fixed properly and is squeaking every time it is windy!! Also there is about 2 meters of insulation missing above the front bedroom.. nope didn't even take a look. Didn't fix any mortar holes because - he didn't have any mortar I just want this process to be over and I honestly hate the painting in the house .. I will paint feature walls and get some normal paint (PD didn't leave me any left overs) to fix the terrible job. Nice thing though the repairer left me his paint cans for walls and skirting. yay. Hopefully I can put some pics up of either a feature wall, paintings, or the driveway I have to seal myself soon! Honestly, your entitled to have everything fixed. Sigh, Yeah I did call them back. It just seems like an effort to get things done. The guy is supposed to be coming back tomorrow to have the things fixed again.
