Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Mar 26, 2010 9:39 pm Hi everyone, I am new to this forum. I am going to build Newington 36 with Carlisle homes. Because this is a double story house, and I would like to do the pre-wiring for satellite dish to be able to view international TV in the future, I asked Carlisle whether I could get outside electrician coming to the site during the construction to do the pre-wiring, Carlisle refused and the admin staff told me that it's their policy not allowing other traders person go into the site. I then rang up Argus - Carlisle's electrical supplier, however Argus did not know what sort of cable should be used for pre-wiring of a satellite dish. (They only know one cable called RG6, but there is another cable also needed for pre-wiring, which Argus does not know.) Carlisle then asked me to tell Argus which cable should be supplied, I am not an electrician and also my electrician is not happy about Carlisle's policy and thus he is not willing to teach Argus. Now what should I do? Has anyone had similar experiance before can give an advice or any idea? Thanks in advance. Hi there, long-time lurker but first time posting. I've bought a house 2 and a bit years ago and last year we had some major water damage on a converted pergola area… 0 7936 Yes, unless you are in a low intensity rainfall area or the area is protected from rain. Do you have access to NCC Part 2 or can you download it? I can email you a copy… 10 12525 Thankyou so much 😀 I've decided on White on white for doors and trims, White on white 50% on ceiling and Mt buller for walls. Fingers crossed it will look OK 😀 2 7170 |
