Re: Once tiling started, how much longer til finished?? 3Mar 26, 2010 10:21 pm Hi Cazoraz, From the time our tilers started to final inspection (which was today), it was approx 3 weeks. I guess every builder is different but it also depends on whether you are getting your floor done by builder or independently. We are laying floating floor and carpet after handover so there wasn't much left to do at all after tiling - Plumbing (tapware, basins, toilets), Electrical fit out, shower screens, HWS, garage door and door furniture! Building in Promenade Estate, Doreen Re: Once tiling started, how much longer til finished?? 4Mar 27, 2010 8:09 am Ours was 5 weeks from tiling commenced to handover. Re: Once tiling started, how much longer til finished?? 5Mar 27, 2010 8:15 am Our tiling is due to start any day now and our builder says our house will be finished in about 6 weeks, so it looks like it could be anywhere from 3 to 6 weeks - how exciting I guess it will also depend on how big your house is and if there is anything outside to do, like driveway, fencing and landscaping. Our builder is doing our alfresco deck, deck around the pool and the driveway and paths, so im not sure if the 6 weeks includes that or not... might have to ask! Re: Once tiling started, how much longer til finished?? 6Mar 27, 2010 8:21 am Very good point Ms Builder! I totally didn't think to mention that part. We don't get any landscaping or driveway, hence shorter time before getting keys. But we dont need any fences or driveways or anything else done, just the fixtures and tiles and stuff. I am tempted to call my SS but am always nervous calling for some reason! Re: Once tiling started, how much longer til finished?? 11Apr 05, 2010 8:52 pm Great Question We where just trying to work that out tonight as we have to give 2weeks notice on the rental and we need to book the concreter in for the driveway, floor tiles have been finish downstair and they started upstairs which took 4day so it may be another 4-5 weeks for us...oops that may put the builder over is completion time.
