Builders generally use their own surveyors so this option would take approximately 10 days (or if you go through a private surveyor). My builder is currently awaiting overlays for final drafting, then its off to design approval and council. Some people don't have time to do the job right the first time, but seem to have plenty of time to fix their mistakes. Except maybe owner builders for very small jobs, like decks or carports.... I was surprised that our developer only took about four days to approve our DA, then the permit was also pretty quick. YV Water, on the other hand...they caused a major delay (two months) because they're idiots and coudn't find their own sewer drawings. I'm getting really excited as now we have final drawings, the next step is for the builder to apply for the building and planning permit. So, given the current time frames there shouldn't be any reason for any long delays!
