Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Mar 23, 2010 12:03 pm Hi, Just wondering how long it took for your builders when you had changes to your drawings - not changes that were massive, just say a couple to half a dozen small changes? So how long from the day you advised them to the day you received the amended drawings? Thanks Re: House plan changes/drawing amendments - how long? 2Mar 23, 2010 12:18 pm This depends on what the changes are, and how busy their drafting team is. Usually couple of days, if the changes are minor and not huge structural changes. Also, i am not sure if you have initially signed a prelim contract and then making changes? Ross North have been very good so far, i get all changes done most of the times same day, or the next day. The sales consultant for us is really good so far, he replies to my emails within a hour most times, and always picks up the phone call. We are doing prestart shortly, i have to wait and see if they keep up with this good work. The changes were minor, moving breakfast bar 10cm etc. It has been over two weeks now - just frustrating so much waiting. I know 2 weeks is not long but I was interested to know what other people experienced and if its normal to wait so long. I don't like to nag. thanks I engaged my builder in December last year and we’ve been working on preliminary drawings for last couple of months. I got a call from the salesperson this morning… 0 724 Congratulations! Nice to put that to bed before christmas, now you can relax 3 7329 What? It's a lighting question, the control joint is only needed at 12m centres, a bulkhead or change of direction will suffice as a 'break' in the ceiling, just make… 8 8720 |
