Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Mar 22, 2010 9:55 pm Our brand new house in Perth has sprung a leak, probably through the roof, through the insulation and down a light fitting. Her bed which is directly beneath is absolutely soaked! We have someone living in our house at the moment and she discovered this tonight when she came home. Before I send an email or phone the builder tomorrow. Just wondering if it something that they can be liable to fix?? Our house was completed 18th Feb and we still have a few months to go on our 6 month check. Any advice please??' Thanks xxx House has been complete since Feb 2010 Moved in April 2010 Outside completed August 2010 Currently working on the inside, painting, blinds, furniture http://ourhouseinperth.blogspot.com/ Re: Leaking roof - help please! 2Mar 23, 2010 12:03 am Tondays downpour is like ,like (and power going out) nothing I have ever seen before...our local shopping centre had water pouring through the roof...scarey for me and kids. Contact your builder. We had a leak(last year) which led to a water soaked laundry ceiling (3.5 yrs after we moved in) they came out and sealed roof, replaced and fixed cieling and repainted. If you let them know they will fix it, we have a great warrantly in WA...25yrs and they stand by it. Best of luck, the law is on your side Re: Leaking roof - help please! 3Mar 23, 2010 5:04 am oh no blue! I hope its stopped enough for a clean up. I don't know what the process is in this situation, but the above post sounds promising! Good luck and let us know! The weather is crazy! Almost couldn't get home because the roads around my place were so flooded! Lots of abandoned cars and water towards the tops of my tyres. Heaps of trees down blocking roads. I hope my new house is okay! My current one flooded and the dogs were outside until I got home, and they were saturated and freaking out, despite me having a large covered patio area and them not liking going out into the rain. I assume the rain blew in hard as their beds against the house were soaked and the patio was flooded! No power here, and maybe not for a few days. My tac-home-ter: Been in 8 months! DIY, Home Maintenance & Repair Hi, I've got a brand new (2nd hand) Bosch Hydropower 16H tankless hot water heater. Since it was installed I have noticed it leaks a lot. I took the cover off and it looks… 0 24147 Minimum overhang into gutter must be 50mm, turn down tool should not split the sheet. it seems wrong tool for the profile was used, the flashing cannot slope back.
