I was looking at stringy bark orginally has a great colour combo, but it is a busy pattern, so depending on the size of your kitchen you may want to break up the use of this laminate, eg just use it on an island unit with a matching colour behind & on overheads, or all lower units in stringy bark and overheads in a different colour, it hard to tell with the colours on the web site, but the stipple seal look like it will add a nice depth of colour to the stringy bark and not wash it out. If you are near a laminex showroom go and have a look at the samples in a larger format, they can also help with which laminates go well together. I'm not a big fan of having different selections in each room I like to use a common link, if you really like the stringybark carry it through to your bathrooms but use it as a bench top instead of on the doors. If you keep a common link through these rooms it well help you with your floor and wall colour selections. Good Luck and have some fun, Cheers Lou http://take2-customdesigndownslope.blogspot.com 07-10-09 omg they have cut the block 14-05-10 we finally have the keys Re: laminate colours HELP and prestart HELP ME 5Mar 23, 2010 8:53 am Hi, I have Stipple Seal (natural finish) for my kitchen cupboards but with stone bench tops. It marks very easily eg. fingerprints etc. so although I love the colour I don't know that I would use it for bench tops. I have no kids so would imagine it would be a nightmare to keep clean if you have kids. Good luck with your choices, it is hard work but I am happy with the decisions I made which were all my gut instinct. Re: laminate colours HELP and prestart HELP ME 6Mar 31, 2010 2:33 pm Do you like this sort of look? http://www.aplan.com.au/kitchen-gallery ... ffect.html as take2 said, would b a good idea to break up the use of the laminate if using something that is quite busy Have a look at this too, this summit display in Madeley has licorice linea and another colour for over heads with wood floors in the kitchen http://www.summitnewhomes.com.au/home-g ... oductID=49 & this Dale Alcock display home in Hammond Park uses alot of the licorice linea and platinum micro http://www.dalealcock.com.au/New-Homes/ ... each/Build good luck with your choices, hope this helps in some way.
