Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Mar 19, 2010 11:15 pm Hi, thought I would post a photo of our house which has just had the garage door installed. We have chosen a gryphon door, teak colour with 4 plain windows.
We have a wooden front door, which you can't really see in this pic. I am really happy with the door colour. Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Re: We have a garage door !!! It's all coming together now. 3Mar 20, 2010 12:23 am Beeeee-you-tiful! I'm a huge fan of wood-look garage doors (hence why I got one!) and yours complements your house so well, the deep red looks really sophisticated next to the dark render. Re: We have a garage door !!! Colourbond Teak with windows 6Mar 22, 2010 12:00 pm sorry, it's not working for me Re: We have a garage door !!! Colourbond Teak with windows 7Mar 22, 2010 12:38 pm That door is gorgeous!! Your house is absolutely stunning. V Re: Now have garage door - updated pics 8Mar 22, 2010 2:13 pm I have just come back from site and took a few more photos. The garage door looks like it really stands out at the moment, but the plan is to put a rendered brick wall at the front of the house with tiled recesses the same as what we have on the front of the house. We will have large, triple width drive way. The front verge/road side garden bed will be split pea gravel with hopefully some grass trees, or something similiar.. which I think will compliment the garage door. We are building our home with a Perth project builder. We signed PPA's in February 2008 and feels like we have been building forever. I can't get in to take any of the internal photos. We are expecting PCI anytime soon. This is our dream home, we bought the block 8 years ago. We are a large family, I have 4 children ages 4 - 16 and we are chomping at the bit to move in. rubber_noggin sorry, it's not working for me I was always very nervous of our colour selections because we went for something different, while at the end of the day we aren't going to please everyone, it's us that matters and we are really happy with how it's looking. I am sorry Bagheera but i have not done a building blog/thread. Our build experience has not been a good one, and I didn't want to go in to too much detail with all the troubles, it always seemed one problem after the other. Now we are at the end I am happy to show pictures of what out home is like. I will do a new posting when I can get inside and take some internal photos. Cheers everyone. Perfect blend of woodgrain and colour. I am a big fan of greys and purples together! I especially love the grey on the garage projection, gorgeous colour. I think the light roof looks great too, it takes a back seat and lets your facade be the star. Congratulations on getting to the end of what sounds like a less than positive experience for you and your family. Hopefullly that will all fade into the past once you move into your beautiful home.
