Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Mar 18, 2010 11:48 pm Hi everyone, Hoping someone can help, my slab was poured yesterday and I need advise on whether or not this looks okay. The first pic is of the plumbing in the kitchen. Half the pipe is out of the slab and it isn't straight. http://i699.photobucket.com/albums/vv352/michme79/House/P1020508.jpg Second pic is the corner of Bedroom 1, there is a big chuck out of the corner. Then further back in the next corner it is not at a 90 degree angle. http://i699.photobucket.com/albums/vv352/michme79/House/P1020516.jpg Do you think this is worth raising with my builder? Re: HELP !!!! Does this look right??? 3Mar 19, 2010 6:49 am it doesn't look right. I think you need to speak to your SS. Re: HELP !!!! Hope that makes sense! Re: HELP !!!! Does this look right??? 6Mar 21, 2010 8:07 pm magged is Mag floated (magnesium float opposed to steel) Correct that looks crapola... The internal corner shouldn't be a problem as there is a 50 mm gap(void) between brick skins. The pipe on the other hand will be hard up against or into the internal wall so will need to be rectified. Also the concrete should be 'all around' the pipe and now has issues that need futher work. Where you are coming from is where you are going to... They using concrete or timber sleepers? Timber or steel uprights? Any drainage behind sleeper? 3 6279 I'm putting a new floor in my kitchen, slate flagging on a standard concrete slab.
