The bad news is that we will have to live with the issues for a while longer because of the Christmas / New Year break, but that’s ok by us, as long as they get resolved eventually. We also had a guy come out from the manufacturers of our splashback, not sure if I have mentioned it before but our splashback has a heap of streaks through it, it looks like it has been wiped down with dirty water and it has dried, only problem is it is on the back of the glass so it can’t be removed. Splashback guy took one look at it and said that they will make us a new one in the New Year, he even said that we can change the colour if we want. Nic and I spoke briefly about changing the colour but I think we are not going to bother, it looks great as it is so we don’t want to risk getting something else. He also said that it is an easy replacement and that they can remove the current one with minimal damage, has anyone had any experience with replacing a splashback? I am envisioning re-plastering, re-painting and the kitchen in pieces for days. Please tell me I am wrong. As for some of the other issues, the painter was supposed to turn up on Friday of last week to fix a few doors and finish painting the outside (which has only had one coat), but he didn’t turn up, so our CSA said that he will get someone else to do it for us next year, I just hope this happens as the paint on the outside looks atrocious at the moment. Just another thing... http://i797.photobucket.com/albums/yy252/w-i-z-a-r-d/merry-christmas.jpg Just wanted to wish everyone on H1 a safe and happy Christmas. Hope Santa brings everyone everything they wish for this Christmas. I was excited to come across Wizard's build who, as you know from his thread, has recently moved into his new home! To celebrate the big move we have done a feature article on his home on the Porter Davis blog. He has offered some great insights into his home building journey and decorating inspirations. Please come and check it out here: http://blog.porterdavis.com.au/index.ph ... ground-up/ Cheers, Jess. Porter Davis Homes Questions? But after looking closer, here is what we saw http://i797.photobucket.com/albums/yy252/w-i-z-a-r-d/100_6799.jpg I don’t know if it came from the lake, but it was very cute. Just after I took this photo it hoped into our mud pit we have as a front yard and disappeared. On the house front, I have been busy making a few changes to the inside of the house, I will hopefully post the details and photos next week, until then, hope everyone stays safe in this crazy weather. It was cute, been keeping an eye out to see if it is still hanging around, but have not seen it, plus with one of our cats always hanging around in the same spot that we saw the frog, I don't think we will see it again Deemaree SNAP!
