Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Mar 17, 2010 12:46 pm Hello Everyone, I figured I should probably start a house forum now, seeing as construction has finally begun! Our slab is due to be poured on March 31st, next Wednesday Also, our bricks are due to be delivered on April 16th. Now we have to figure out where to get laminate flooring in the colour we want. Can anyone reccommend a place that sells laminate flooring? Or even better, a place that sells laminate flooring in a colour similar to this... http://www.carpetexpress.com/images/lam ... _L3020.jpg Or a similar colour to the floorboard in this PD House display(Make sure you click on "Image Galleries" then "Classic American Style - Mernda")... http://www.porterdavis.com.au/#/homeviewer/marriot/48 Thanks Lara and Joshua http://pdheywood25.blogspot.com/ viewtopic.php?f=31&t=31186 16.03.10 Scrape 29.03.10 Slab 08.04.10 Frame 11.05.10 Lock Up 03.06.10 Fixing 24.08.10 Handover Re: Lara and Josh's House. Time dragging waiting for slab! 10Mar 24, 2010 5:04 pm Ooo massages. I try to get my partner to stroke my arm (some crazy love of mine). He hates it Might have to hire an arm petting slave to pass the time. I am painting this weekend Probably something for the house, so at least that will get my mind off things for a while! Time should hopefully go fairly fast after this weekend. If I could knit, that would be an option also...I love creative things. Baking cookies or cake is good to pass the time, then getting friends to come around and help eat is also good. This happens regularly I can't knit or bake Probably a good thing that I can't bake, I would just sit at home eating cookies all day Lara and Joshua http://pdheywood25.blogspot.com/ viewtopic.php?f=31&t=31186 16.03.10 Scrape 29.03.10 Slab 08.04.10 Frame 11.05.10 Lock Up 03.06.10 Fixing 24.08.10 Handover Re: Lara and Josh's House. Site Scrape Yesterday :) 17Mar 28, 2010 9:02 am No worries, our frame is complete all the plumbing and wiring is in all our bricks are there and they're getting ready for plaster! We had some vandals smash our front window but the poor people next to us had all thier front windows smashed, they have been carpeted and painted and there is bits of the roof tile they used to smash the window imbeded in their bedroom wall! I guess in a way your lucky there was nothing on your block to smash. Re: Lara and Josh's House. Site Scrape Yesterday :) 18Mar 28, 2010 8:03 pm Wow, yours is so far along! Which house is yours again? I thought to look for it, but I couldn't remember which one it was. That's terrible about the roof tile being imbeded in to their wall. What are their options now? Is it covered? Hopefully it doesn't become a regular thing in our street.
