Re: Building with Plunkett Homes Perth 182Sep 25, 2012 2:34 pm Fireflies. If you're still here; How has it all gone? We also signed with Plunkett / Domain but want to cancel, they just can't communicate accurately or consistently! So frustrating. How did you go? All work out? Thanks. Re: Building with Plunkett Homes Perth 184Oct 03, 2012 2:18 pm Fireflies. Thanks again, I've read and replied with a "Thanks" to the PM. Looks like we're heading down the same road ..... Re: Building with Plunkett Homes Perth 185Apr 30, 2022 10:46 pm mrslin Hi How's everyone's progress so far? We just signed the final plans yesterday, and now waiting for bank approval (God, bank is slow!). Once finance approval is received, we are off to scheduling! Plunkett has been really good to us, and to get to this far is actually sooner than what we thought. Now we are very optimistic to move in before Christmas (finger cross!) It will be nice to hear everyone else's progress! Don't hold your breathe we signed in 2020 and no where finished Re: Building with Plunkett Homes Perth 186May 01, 2022 9:58 am Hey Christine99 Welcome to the forum If they were having issues some 10 years ago (last post) when the WA economy was buoyant and profitable I'd hate to think how they are travelling now! The salesman dines out on the fact that they are Perths oldest builders... I guess that means Bugger all if you're building OT, If you are on the outskirts or country you've no chance of finishing this year. Hopefully, they won't take the record for the longest build (humour) Designer,Engineer (Civil,Const & Envir),Builder,Concrete & Masonry Contract.Struct Repairs Re: Building with Plunkett Homes Perth 187May 02, 2022 5:50 pm StructuralBIMGuy Hey Christine99 Welcome to the forum If they were having issues some 10 years ago (last post) when the WA economy was buoyant and profitable I'd hate to think how they are travelling now! Hopefully, they won't take the record for the longest build (humour) We are building with them at the moment and so far they have hit the timeframes they committed to. We have had one major issue that was stressful, but ultimately resolved to a fair outcome. We have caught up to some nearby builds that were already slab down before we signed contracts so I guess that’s a fairly good sign. Re: Building with Plunkett Homes Perth 188May 02, 2022 8:52 pm That is great news for you and happy for you but we will never recommend or deal with them again Re: Building with Plunkett Homes Perth 189May 03, 2022 10:14 am Jays We have caught up to some nearby builds that were already slab down before we signed contracts so I guess that’s a fairly good sign. That doesn't make any sense whatsoever? They don't commence projects until you have signed the contract, while getting the slab down isn't generally a delay It's the following trades eg bricklayers and roofing that's the problem. If builders are delaying the slab going down, they are probably tossing up whether to terminate your contract OT if you don't have access to addition funds for post contract variations you are a goner.
