Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Mar 14, 2010 5:14 pm Hi All, As much as we where excited of securing our block@ the ponds. We now faced with a bit of a dilemma.. we overlooked this when we first paid our $300 due to our experience "first home buyers". Situation is we have a sewerage structure on the righthand corner at the back of our block. Which is making us think twice about the 591sqm block (18 meter back/ 15 meter front) and its not a corner block .. We are actually considering to withdraw from the lot.. and perhaps wait for the next release.. Any thoughts on this? Would this disturb you? anyone here have any experiences.. i'm sure with the recent news you may know how hard it is secure land these days.. however most of the lots seem to have a sewerage structure at the front of the block or at the back... Corner blocks have more I think around 3.. So realllyyy confused and just not really i guess 100% satisfied knowing that there is this sewerage structure their.. We would appreciate your thoughts and comments.. http://dreamzattheponds.blogspot.com To be invited to our blog send a PM with your email. With any sewer easements (not just the manhole but also the actual sewerline) you cant build too close. So get a copy of the contour plan and map out to scale on it the footprint of your house and consider any other things you may like to have such as a pool or other structure. Dont forget to check the design guidelines for the set back and other requirements such as driveway position from street trees etc when you plan your siting. If you can fit everything you want on the block then you should be fine to keep it. If not let it go.
