Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Mar 14, 2010 11:50 am To cut a rather long story short, our builders have recessed our slab by 26mm to enable the frame to sit lower and us to have the same height flooring from the family room into the alfresco and not have the frame in the way. The question I have is that now looking at the frame, it sits lower than the lintel above it and is not attached - ie you can move it at the top. The builder says this is normal and they will put a trim at the top so you wont notice any gap when it is plastered. I just want to check that this is correct or whether it should be attached to the lintel above? Any builders out there that know for sure? Cheers This is 100% true.
