The fence needed to be fixed after a vehicle backed into it. No way was I going to let the kids play outside. The neighbour's out of view garage cost us, what is the legal term... quiet enjoyment of our property. The block was a standard block though, not the size of the one in question here. More potential to alleviate possible problems on a huge block. I would consider the issue of security though, enabling vehicles to park out of sight on your property at will is not a good thing. I'd be getting a gate. Re: Garage on side of house 13Mar 12, 2010 11:07 am We have a 35m frontage however our design was still to wide to have the garage solely to the side so our home is shaped like an L - so when you drive down the driveway you then having a turning circle to your right into the garages. Our garage doors were chosen in the same Decrowood as the windows so it became a focal part of the facade. Some things are worth waiting for.
