I really should figure out how to post some photos for you Re: Building an Oasis - Framed 22Apr 11, 2010 10:47 pm shelby75 Thats fantastic, its amazing how quickly it progresses once they get going. Our roof is on, we have had air con rough in and SS has said should be bricked by end of the month!?!?. I really should figure out how to post some photos for you Hi, quick question for you. Did you have your aircon rough before or after the electrician ran through. Also did you get to meet the electrician before hand on site? As to photos, it is really simple. Just open a new account with imageshack and copy the link to forum in your post. It will automatically generate thumbnails etc for you. Re: Building an Oasis - Framed 23Apr 12, 2010 5:47 pm Things are looking great and really coming along! It's nice to see your build coming along. Feeling discouraged myself that this is taking so long. Signed final plans are in the mail first thing in the morning so hoping PH can get on site quickly. They said 2-3 weeks, how long from signed final plans until PH was on site and what estimation of build time have they given you? Keep posting the pics, so much fun to see it all come together!! As for air con, we took it out of contract, the site was "signed over to us" on friday for the aircon and ducted vac rough in. When I turned up on site this morning I found the electricians were there, had no idea this was happening. We had requested a walk through to confirm the locations of everything and when I checked with the SS about this today I was told this doesn't happen. We get a walk through once they have finished their pre-wire to check everything. Surely a walk through first makes more sense. Final plans were signed around the 10th of February and they were on site in march. The wet weather delayed us by a couple of weeks. Don't worry your build should start soon too!! They have been pretty quick since they have been on site, so your house should go up in no time. It is quite easy, just click on the "quote" button on the bottom of my post and voila you should be able to quote me. I spoke to our SS today and reminded him that I need to speak to electrician before hand as it says on our electrical plan in black and white "contractor to contact client before pre-wire" Also were they flexible in you running your own data cables if you chose this option? Re: Building an Oasis - Roofed 27Apr 17, 2010 7:29 pm Lots of action on site this past week. Windows, doors and roof is up. Our first stuff up however, looks like they have ordered the wrong bifold door. Looking like a house! How exciting. Our SS thinks we will be at lock up by end of month, this week saw the brickies finish downstairs (scaffolding is going back up on Mon for the cladding upstairs), electrical rough-in done, more fiddly bits from the chippies, plasterers due next week! Re: Building an Oasis - Roofed 29Apr 18, 2010 10:46 am Looking great! They really are moving along for you guys. Really like the outlook onto the park area, very nice for the kiddies! Glad to hear you are happy with your SS, still waiting for something to happen here so hoping things finally get moving and we'll be happy with ours as well. So far we have had our site cut and the cut was off, so not a good start really. You house is really coming together and looking great! What is the gray colour cupboard in what I think must be your powder room or main bathroom and what brick did you go with? Looks like it may be the same colour we are using in the kitchen. Have you encountered any big stuff ups yet?
