Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Mar 10, 2010 7:53 pm Hi I am wondering whether someone can help me with this question. I am building with Masterton Home and it's close to the hand over stage. There is a requirement to complete owners' work before the occupation certificate can be issued. However, I have no idea what I need to do: 11.45 Customer Completes all Items Required for Occupation Certificate What Happens in This Stepping Stone You'll attend to all Owner Works detailed in the Development Consent, then contact our Customer Service Coordinator to inform us when they are completed. Why This Stepping Stone is Necessary You won't be able to obtain an Occupation Certificate from a Certifier until all works detailed in the Development Consent have been completed. These works include the Owner Works, for which you are responsible. Things You Need to Do You'll need to arrange for the Owner Works to be completed by the relevant Suppliers, Tradespeople and Service Providers. Ensure you obtain the appropriate certifications confirming these works have been correctly completed. When this is done, contact our Customer Service Coordinator. Things We Need to Do Our Customer Service Coordinator will contact you initially to discuss the Owner Works. We'll then wait for you to contact us to let us know when you have completed them. From You None Landscaping Compliance Certificate Work as Executed Plan Hydraulic Report (if needed) 88b Instrument Section 73 Telstra Clearance letter Electricity Authority Clearance letter Engineers Report for Driveway Engineers Report for Retaining Walls Any Relevant Documents Has anyone provided any of the above documents before the occupation certificate is issued? Thank you for helping. Re: Occupation Certificate and Owners Work 3Mar 10, 2010 8:56 pm Hi Borepig, You should speak with your Certifier and then your Construction Coordinator. The Certifier should be able to inform you of what you need to do in terms of Owner Works. It may be things like driveway, landscaping (if your Council requires it), steps into laundry/front door depending on the height, etc it will be individual to your site. Masterton (Construction Coordinator) will supply all the relevant certificates etc to the Certifier. You're up to this stage and never dropped into the Masterton thread to say hi.... ? no pictures....
