Cheers Lou http://take2-customdesigndownslope.blogspot.com 07-10-09 omg they have cut the block 14-05-10 we finally have the keys Re: Re: Nathan & Lisa's Reno - BIG update, lots of pics. 102Oct 13, 2010 12:40 am Hey Lou, Lisa never posts here it's just me mate. Rain is delaying things, for the last 3 weeks we have been trying to book in the concrete pump to do the side of the house pathway. It's a different pump than a usual concrete pump so they are just a little bit harder to co-ordinate. The inside is 90% done, just at the end of last week we had the floors polished, so the wood is done. There a couple more fittings to put in, some lights and switches left. Cabinets are all in, doors need to be installed. Pool has been commissioned. Cable broadband man was here today, but alas rain sent him away. Rain is holding up the painting of the outside. Rain is holding up the queila (spelling?) boarding of the front terrace. Rain is holding up a bit. I've been lazy and not taken many pics, I will soon, everything should be done in the next 3 weeks. I hope so anyway. Regards NK Re: Re: Nathan & Lisa's Reno - BIG update, lots of pics. 103Oct 13, 2010 9:49 am Fingers crossed, I just looked at the weather forcast and there is a couple of sunny days ahead, we really need a break before the official wet season starts. CHeers Hi Saemiseon. I did not do it myself but I know how the tradesmen did it. The carpenters at my place were very good with this. Standard size hole. The door comes with no hole, you need to get one in at the right height and place because there is a locking mechanism that goes into the "wave" so to speak of the front door. Big hole gets put in, smaller hole next to it. Then they "gut" the door where the mechanism is supposed to fit into. One problem was that the door striker cover is only meant for steel framed doors like in apartments. Therefore the strike was hitting my door frame architraves damaging them, the striker plate was not long enough. I took the one that they gave with the lock and AutoCAD'ed it and had a wider one lasercut. Our press operator here at work pressed the item so that now it reaches just past the wood to protect it from the strike. Best thing about it is, automatically deadlocks when you close the door and no keys, thank the lord, coming into the house at night if I've forgotten the lights and have bags I just put in a code or swipe my card near the door. digital door locks.com.au Re: Nathan & Lisa's Reno - getting towards the end 117Oct 22, 2010 2:51 pm Thanks Nathan. I'm Korean and everyone in Korea uses that.... obviously yours is from Korea as well I was gonna buy one too but wasn't sure whether I could install it. Maybe I'll buy one when I go back this December and get builder to install it when they install standard locks....hopefully it's no biggie. thanks for that Re: Re: Nathan & Lisa's Reno - getting towards the end 118Oct 22, 2010 3:21 pm Looks fantastic Nathan!
