Re: please help me 2Mar 06, 2010 2:28 pm Hi tellme, We are building with SPH in Perth metro NoR. We are up to scheduling stage & has taken us about 6 months to get to get here from first signing up which we were aware of from the start. I think things have been a bit slow for all builders because of the FHO grant & heaps of them signing up before it ended but things have settled down now. I think all builders have pos & negs, it's just a matter of finding a plan that you love & have that "feel good" thing about. From what i have seen (dispays & other posts on this forum) i think the quality of SPH is exeptional. We have had great communication with SPH office & they always return emails/calls within the day or very next. Sorry have heard nothing of dreamstart so can't help you there Good luck with deciding on a home & your build journey Cooper's Build - Perth NOR viewtopic.php?f=31&t=30525 Prelim- mid Sept 2009, Pre Start 2 Feb, Siteworks- 21 April 2010, Slab- 10 May, Deliveries- all by 26 May Bricking- 28 May - 26 June, Roof complete 5 Aug, Float 28 Aug, Lock up 16 Sept Cabinets 1 Oct, Tiling 22 Oct, PCI 18 Nov, KEYS 3 Dec 2010 MOVED IN 17 DEC 2010 Re: please help me 4May 05, 2010 6:50 pm Hi there We are looking at a dreamstart home and this is what i found so far: We have looked at a couple of builders well dreamstart will be our fourth actually, all other 3 builders where first and foremost pushy they all insisted that we needed to sign up a preperation for plans that we never saw from any of them they showed us no more than 2 house designs and when we decided not to go with them they all got nasty. So far we have ended up losing 2000 worth of deposits as they are non refundable and yet have been shown no work. Then we dropped into Dreamstart. The sales rep was informative and non pushy. He called me a week later to ask if we would like to speak to him about some designs, what our budget was and could he help us. He offered to come to our house at a time suitable to us (my partner works nights i work days so this was wonderful for us) I expressed that we were interested in a design that is a little out of our price range and he called to tell me that he had drawn up a totall of 4 house designs including the more expensive one I had requested but was a little worried that we wouldn't be able to afford it and didn't want to dissapoint us. We told him that we were prepared to add some of our own money to the build at which he was pleased at because it fits beautifully on our block, he didn't want to show us if we couldn't afford as he knew we would be dissappointed. This is all before any deposit had been paid or an promise of a sale. He is also willing to work to our budget where as all the other companies kept telling us that if we just added another 10 grand (which we can't borrow) then we would have our dream house. So far very positive experience and should we get our finance approved I will be signing up with them. * I have also heard good things about so hopefully they live up to it!! Thankyou so much 😀 I've decided on White on white for doors and trims, White on white 50% on ceiling and Mt buller for walls. Fingers crossed it will look OK 😀 2 7079 i had the my concreters concrete right up to the fence. I have pits all along my path, so the water tends to drain away from the house and into the pits.
