HillsCass That looks fabulous!! So fresh and fun for her, lucky girl!! Thanks, she loves it and keeps running in and saying 'paint paint' too bad she still wont sleep in there though. TheSquid Toot toot! I see something happening in your front yard!! I wasn't home for the toot toot. How are you guys going? I like your landscaping, very nice. Did you get mop tops or something else planted? We have put in grass as we couldn't decide on what we wanted. SO it is grass for now until we can come up with something solid! ring09 Well done Cooped, looks fantastic. I think I like the red frames, they seem to jump out more, the white seems to get lost. Re: Our Preston @ the 'Coast' - I've been painting!! 1551Aug 31, 2011 8:58 am Hi Coop Was looking thru your thread for you know what ... and spotted that issue with the neighbour where water is pooling on his side at the bottom of the retaining wall. Is there any news re. that? How high is that retaining wall on his side?? Do you know if the build put in the ag pipe at the bottom of the wall on your side?? My signature is distracting people from my wise posts ... Our Preston @ the 'Coast' - I've been painting!! 1552Aug 31, 2011 11:14 am Lex.. The retaining wall is prob 5 foot high. There is drainage but the problem comes from the water running off of the fence (or if I over water the grass) and it also goes down the steel beams. We haven't done anything about the problem as I can't fix the weather and which way it rains. Our neighbor however needs to do something about drainage on his side and as far as I know he hasn't done anything. There was only maybe 2 incidents where I over watered the grass and it pooled over onto his side. I don't believe that has happened again as I hand water the grass now and don't use the sprinkler. I think it is the developers problem as they are the ones who designed the blocks of land, not us. I have had many tears over this situation and I can't think of anything that can fixnit on my side as the water falls off of the fence, from the rain. I can't stop that. We have it fall over the other side from our other neighbors but because we have drainage on that side it goes straight to stormwater. Goodluck with that issue, it's a pain in the backside! I think they could maaaybe try and slope that section towards something (a pit??) and capture the overflow in there and then move it via some pipes further IF that's possible at all ... but at least it's not something that you have caused, you can't stop the rain (sorry to hear that you were so upset by the whole issue )!!
