Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Feb 28, 2010 2:04 pm Hi everyone,
I like all of you have been stalking this website for a long time whilst we were in our planning stages. I love hearing everyone's stories & not to mention the photo's - it is lovely to see it all come together! We hope to enjoy our building journey with you all. We are building the Mannum 181 with Rivergum constructions in Laurimar, Doreen. It has been a very tedious process to get through all the planning & red tape issues, but we have finally started the soil works last week. They are doing well & hope to have a slab down by Wednesday next week! We just love the area & family friendly nature of Laurimar & it won us over as soon as we discovered it. We can walk to everything from our block to the shops, schools & kinder (which is essential to us)! I have enclosed some photo's so you can all have a look & as I said I hope to enjoy this journey with you all

Re: Andrew & Jodie's New Home 2Feb 28, 2010 2:07 pm How do I download the photo's?? Hi Rowena, I have followed your thread as well as I saw you listed yourself in Doreen. Wherabouts are you?? Thanks for your kind wishes. Yes, one of the main reasons we got our block was because of the location & being able to walk to everything. We were shown alot of other blocks but they were to far away. I look forward to watching your journey as well Re: Andrew & Jodie's New Home 19Mar 03, 2010 10:02 pm Nott hi Jodie, No, I didn't build the Man 207, it is way too big for us. We, instead, built with the Ascot. However, I do love Man 154 v much. Did u pick the traditional facade? cheers Hi Nott, We loved the Mannum 207 but couldn't afford it & we had issues with 181 fitting our block anyway. We liked the 154 but wanted the extra bedroom & rumpus as well. So we compromised & chose the 181. Yes, I love cottagey so we went with the traditional. I don't know the Ascot have you finished your build??? Is it still called the Ascot becuase I know they have changed alot of their names & designs. They told us you cannot get the Mannums anymore unless you specifically ask for it. They got rid of them to keep up with the PD, henly, metricons for more contemporay homes & cheaper to build with all the extras. Would love to see some photo's! Whereabouts did you build?? Joe, it depends on your certifier but we are noticing the ones we deal with are really cracking down. So i would recommend you follow your approved landscaping plans to… 4 10853 Hi Simeon, Thank you for laying it down for us. Makes sense. Appreciate it very much. Have a nice day.
